You can always put one or two ounces of methyl hydrate in the tank. Same as gas line antifreeze.

Exactly what I would love to do....but my wife won't go:crying: Keep on posting....I guess some of us have to do trips like that vicariously thru others! Glad the rain stopped for you!

Gotta wonder how many sales he makes!

Start with the obvious....it couldn't be that the increased rpm and speed caused enough wind and engine noise to activate one of the mikes....thereby "cutting out" the radio etc?

oil from top of motor...
Trader replied to ahdesakodai's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
the guy I sold a bike to told me there was no oil in the bike so he added some. The next morning he said he had a "huge" oil puddle on the driveway. When I checked everything I found that It DID have oil in it.. It must have been over-full from the PO (I bought it ....hardly even looked at it and resold it) and the oil level window was completely black so he ASSUMED it had no oil in it and added a bunch more. When I drained it to the proper level, I DRAINED more then the regular volume when doing a full oil change!!! So it had more than twice what it should have had. No wonder he complained that he had an oil leak!!!! The oil leak was the o-ring on the timing inspection hole in the left side case....easy fix....but he decided he was too busy to own a bike anyway! -
I was trying to warn Ben of an impending crash ....by pushing the turn signal cancel button instead of CB Transmit button. Thankfully he didn't need me after all!

Seeing as I AM a witness, I can make a suggestion! we all just have to wear a shirt and tie, and carry a literature case? But we would have to be prepared to leave the property on short notice:whistling:

ALWAYS wipe windshield N/S not in circles or side to side. Any minor scratching will be less noticeable.

Sorry Yammer.....the handle "Tentpeg" is already taken!

Geee......if you hadn't spent so much time of "every one elses" bike you could have done some work on yours! So now I really feel guilty. But you beat me home. I had rain going to Marcarls's on Thursday and again home today....but the rest was GRRREAT!

They do it so still having a cassette deck as a standard feature doesn't look so bad!

to find a posting or a thread just click on "SEARCH" on the menu bar. Then you can select "my posts" or "my threads" or whatever. It could be you were looking under "new Posts" and once you have viewed it....it's not new anymore and so you can't see it unless someone else replies to it. I think!

sure...edit it! LOL

via 401= less than 3 hours Hwy 2 is most scenic...often along the lake....more population=more delays Take a look at the route from Gananoque #32 to #15 to Crosby, #42 to Westport, #36 to Bolingbroke then Maberly. Maberly is on #7 ...you can follow #7 down thru Peterborough and then cross country to Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport park) I think your route planner is allowing a lot more time than needed. food for thought is all

I was suggesting the 401 from the Gananoque Bridge (north of Watertown NY) all the way. (no tolls except at border bridge) It would take you about 40 min to drive north to #7 and then the road slowly works its way more than 1/2 way south again. If time matters that isn't a good choice. It's an OK road...but not all that special for biking. IF you go by Niagara Falls the 407 is the only toll road you might hit (besides the bridge at the border). I would avoid it because it isn't a cash toll. They take a picture of your plate, then send you the bill. First timers are charged a fee to set up the account, plus if you don't have a transponder you get charged an extra $3. The first time I went on it I got nailed with all those fee. I went from beginning (in Burlington) to the end (in Oshawa)....and it ended up costing me about $25!!!! Time at the border totally depends on the time of day, day of week etc. Most times it's about 15 min.....other times it can be 2 hours! If you are coming across on the Labour Day weekend, I would expect a delay.
