Reflectors to LEDs (with turn signals)
Cougar replied to Motorpig's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Still can't find my paper work yet, sorry I think thats what mine did as well when I tried to add the blinkers with out the releys. for the mean time I would just have them with the running lights. -
OK thanks. was just watching some YOUTUBE and it says just what you said so I take it that I have to un-screw at the bottom of the antenna holder put the short cable in place, this will be pretty hard as this has a trike body on it but think I can do get to it from under. NOW.... nobody has explained how to you tune the antenna? is it where the black cylinder is in the middle of the antenna? Also, do you tune while the CB Switch is pressed? Thanks! Jeff

I see this is an old post from a search I did..... OK gang., now that I have my new cable ran to the antenna old one busted added a new OEM wire to the box. So how do we do this tunning with the SWR Meter ? Does it involve getting into the black box? Or, is there tunning on the antenna near the black part in the middle? Or, do you screw something from the SWR into the pod were the main part screws in ? The reason for asking is , I would like to put my trunk back on now Thanks for your help, Jeff Adding:: Oh one other thing. is I did have a portable CB took it into the house and had my wife take a listen. she said there was a lot of back ground buzzing noise I was wondering if it was cuz the bike is enclosed in the garage with the long 10 foot tube lights causing a problem with interference? With the old wire all it did was make a loud Squeal.

I am thinking if I use the a/A box and type with it changed it works better with out it changing the screens. I can not seem to get it to back up with it turned on.

I have tried that, it does not work for me

Been happing to me as well for over two years, brought this same thing up as well. It is the back space key (sometimes) .. I now type then copy paste when it is getting long winded LOL . I just tried it and lost my post , came back and now I can not get it to do it the second time. with the back space key.. NO your not going crazy! glad to see someone else is having the same problem. We can start a club now ! I also must click the upper right A/A tab so the spell checker will work correctly. otherwise this site runs fast and thanks Don for keeping it running for us.

Sure, remind me over the weekend and I will see if I can find it and then shoot a photo for you. been a while since I did this. and to remember it all with out the paper old age I guess I think I have 5 or 6 relays under the hood now constant flasher use wear out the relay maybe over time What about your car blinkers? I get my relays for like $2.99 an amazon. Jeff -
hope its covered for you Annie

Les, my drawing is someplace out in the garage at home... For 24 bucks and it does the same thing as mine I would go with that. the relays I use are the 87/with 87A on them. post the link on what your looking at here please. Jeff -
Reflectors to LEDs (with turn signals)
Cougar replied to Motorpig's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
In my case if I just wanted them to glow just light, I would have just wired them direct pretty simple like you say. I also wanted to make the lit side reflectors to blink as well, it's pretty cool when there running. make's it so the cagers can see my blinkers on the side and what I want to do as far as turning. make since? in other words there is nothing that cars see when there to your left or right . this helps :-) had to use the relays to have them both blink and be running lights at the same time. it took one relay for each side. Yup , removed it after 5 years. not worth the hassle. and any kind of wasted draw it takes. Good luck on what you put in.

Look at the tank, trunk and the bags.. there is no two tone on them like the MM has. this is a white RSV in the pic. MM is TAN and Pearl White. Lower Fairing is also Tan on the MM
