1. Here is a side angle... Here is a top shot looking down with the pass backrest on, comes up to the stitching. This is with the backrest removed.
2. Thanks guys, I will be right back with a photo. I thought my wife was CRAZY ... but she is right I think.. After the conversion. she is push more forward, after I took off the backrest had her sit on the bike. she says YES thats more like it. Sooooo I think I will have to have remove some of the backing off the lower part of the back rest for her. I am getting my camera now. see what you think... BRB
3. *lol* Well at least ya didn't have to go out to the garage! And thanks!
4. Hi gang, would somebody go out to there garage ? *lol* I need a measurement from the back of the rear passenger seat to were it meets to the back of the speaker pods or trunk pod. PHOTO would be OK too! Thanks, Jeff
5. 3x4 OR the (bike lift) to level it out after you have drained the oil and changed the filter.
6. Old Venture , not sure if it is worth the time , but that is why I started with that mock-up to get the right dimensions etc. back and forth to the welder and so on, I started this project a couple months ago, been thinking about how I can do this and get my end results for the past 3 years and have been racking my Brain about it to get the wife more comfortable (I Finley did that) Some of the other wife's are completely satisfied with the other mods that have been made. but they just were not going to work for my wife's knee condition. And Thanks! Jeff
7. Thanks Dave, Let us know what you come up with and if your new.. ya gatta post some pictures! that is the RULE around here. or we kick you out! (just kidding) Jeff
8. Rod, my front only hold air for about a month or so. then I re-add the air. I think that there is such a small amount in there it will just find its way out , Sometimes I just forget about it. Jeff
9. Gunny, I have (TWO) of them na na boo boo! maybe we could have a drive shaft rally or something? one of mine has 3 k on it and the other as 10.5 K on it. and they BOTH look the same as far a wear on them. if that is what you want to call it. they look nothing like the above pictures. Jeff
10. -Thanks Guys! -bryan, nope I never ordered them as I have seen a set, they will not go out far enough for what we needed. I even contacted them about it. I also just placed an order for the chrome wind deflectors yesterday from them. *oops* -pegscraper, after seeing them on there from my angle I see other parts on the bike that would hit first though. -Kbay, just for a little more re-enforcement, do to the outward push on the pegs, seemed to do the trike. I was going to add two more steel angles under there and bolt them in place for support , but the clamps did the trick. Jeff
11. Rod, not sure if you know or not. ONLY USE a Progressive Air Pump..I think thats what they call them. otherwise ya will damage your air shocks.
12. Sleeper... notice in this pic the rubber stop for the end of the kickstand.. that is how close this could work. With some thinking you could maybe off set a little farther back fancy tap welding.
13. Very Kewl,, more projects! :happy65:thanks!
14. And YES I AM still CRAZY , wait till I finish my DUEL Odyssey Battery Set-Up on the RSV! should be finished with that this weekend! would be riding but lots of rain coming.
15. And these are nice but they do not make her leg extend far enough. they also were about the same hight as the reg boards. so that was a no go for her.
16. sleeperhawk. and it is so damn close too!. I would have figured something out though.. I went this far *lol* and the finished product does not hang any lower then when I had the kickstand on there, the push bar part. but that bar was just back far enough.
17. Trying again.. reduced pic size...
18. As some of you remember and though I was CRAZY in this last thread, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32974 I took the template and some advise from some of you folks and came up with a formed 1" round stainless steel rod. Then I had a bracket placed were the kick stand goes. (off set under there as well) then had the Darn thing Chromed. (Thanks Mike for bring that part back) great guy! Wife is very happy that she now can extend her legs outward It also does not get in my way. I almost had it figured out a way for the kickstand not to hit the darn thing when up.. gave up since I did my Trike Conversion last month and had the kickstand removed anyways. Just thought I would share my finished results. Wife tried then today on about a 100 mile ride. she loved them! I also placed a Shinny New Quarter one each side. one from Iowa were we live now and the other from were we came from. Calif. The support strength from this new bracket is stronger then the ones that I have up front, off the crash bar. Take a look! the last few are from under. Still trying to up-load pics folks.. something is wrong.. not working right today.. Jeff
19. BTW, I just cleaned mine off as well. with carb cleaner got it shinny and it looks Nothing like that kind of wear! That does not look right to at all... just my opinion though! Jeff
20. Why don't you send me or PM me your mailing addy and I will send you a almost brand new one! Gatta find a long box first though , and might not be until Monday or Tuesday before I can send it Bro.! Jeff
21. Steve, what does the HD stand for?
22. Thanks Guys.. now to figure out what rear tire I want on the front then. I had been Running Micheline's and the seem to wear pretty well. And I guess a soft tire is not necessary anymore. what are you guys running in the front that has been doing well for you? I guess this is the (what tire is the best?) I think what I am looking for is what is the most durable like 1rooster has so many Miles on his. Oh Oh--- what size am I looking for anyways? for the front. Just like I had before. or is there even a different size now when doing this change? Thanks Guys! Jeff
23. Soooo? I was about to ask this same Question then I saw this Thread. So I want to change out my front tire. the consensus is that we or I run a new rear (RSV) tire on the front (backwards?) as I have done the same as Gunny.. Converted to a trike. would this be my best bet before I order a Tire. and why backwards? also why would the wider tire on the front be better? so many Questions! Thanks, Jeff
