looks both sturdy and big enough. roughly 12x 18 x 8" high... looks good. I to am not crazy about the idea of someone getting on the bike without me being there to steady it. Read(I don't trust the kick stand either) The reason I recommended a step: my mom is 75, and aunt mary 76, they get into my 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup often and feel very safe on that stool, they won't use the aluminum step that's on my truck? Hey, whatever makes them feel comfortable is good enough for me... Plus they get the royal treatment of me opening the door for them and assisting...LOL

Could be very interesting to see how they introduce this bike. Hope they stick with old timey looks, with a dash of HD fatboy and up to date technology. It would be nice, but, I think a federal CCW law would have a greater chance of passing. After all, the feds provided the means to transport guns across state lines. If not for that, there would be huge difficulties "legally " traveling across the Unite states.

from the links I've been reading if you stop in the state of Illinois for whatever reason, you are no longer covered by the federal transportation law??? So if one were to stop for gas?

Actually Iowa is less than 10 miles away... They have: Outright recognition State law which recognizes all valid carry permits issued by any state. Hummmmmmm...
