Just curious how many on here plan to make the trek to Sturgis this year? Taking son and would love to meet up with other VR members somewhere out there. Perhaps get a ride in together.
I'm on shock #3 with 1st 2 oem's. I refuse to give mama yama anymore of my money for shocks. With that said, if your shock still holds air and is working properly, I'd run it until you need replacing. It's a good shock when operating as it should.
Did want to mention, seat heigth is approximately 1/2 - 1 inch higher. Not a big difference but for those folks heigth impaired, might be worth considering.
Wanted to get some miles on bike solo and 2 up before posting review on Hagon shock. 400 miles later and I love it. Wife says smoother than air shock over bumps (she hasn't ridden much lately to remember anyways ) handling is about the same as new. Straight forward install. Would buy same brand again for the dollars. (Approx 450)
Taking my son this year. Going to be a blast and even have a comfy place to sleep (Cousin's daughter has a place right in town) They're guess-ta-mating over 1 million bikes. Will be out there a couple days early to avoid the over the top traffic hopefully.
I'm in the market for a new bike (Keeping the RSTD for cruising solo) If they don't come out with something, it'll be a Victory Cross Country or Indian Chieftain sitting next to my bikes. Sure would like to keep with the Star family.
(New to you) not sure if you can access the "Looking for" section as a trial member but I've had good luck there when I needed something. If you can't access it, memberships 12.00 a year and owning one of these beautiful vehicles is worth the $'s. Would love to see your scoot some day at one of our rallies or get-to-gethers. Ride safe. Mike
I did some research on here http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Yamaha%20Parts%20%28Optimized%29&utm_term=genuine%20+yamaha%20parts and from what I could tell, they are different part numbers. Someone on here with 1st gens I'm sure will know far more than I could help. Good luck. Mike
Sounds more like a sticking float to me but by no means go by what I say. Had a similar problem and that's what mine was. There's plenty of much more qualified folks on here that will give you other options. Good luck and God Bless
Well, well, well, out of the woodwork I have returned. Miss me Owl? So you had a scare in the hospital? Have to clue me in on that one later. Perhaps at PIP? Yes, going to try and make this one and ordering patch later today.
