  1. It is up here in the mountains (NE GA) and I don't have all the right cold-weather gear!
  2. Thanks for making me feel a little better, guys! As you've already guessed, I'm a rider, not a mechanic. I even had to get help to change my oil last year. One more thing. When I get back Friday, I'll remove the seat and search the mess that is my garage for my charger. Should I disconnect before charging or is it ok to just connect, set and let it run?
  3. Here I sit, in a hotel room in Dalton, GA (traveling for work), when I realize how stupid I really am! Let me explain. I returned home at lunchtime on Sunday and thought "Oh, I haven't used the bike ('03 RSV Midnight) in a while". So I thought that even thought it's still too cold to ride, I'd at least fire her up and maybe take her round the block. Well, as you've probably already guessed, the battery is flat and this is where the dumbness comes in - I realized that I don't even know where the battery is, let alone how to get to it to charge it!!! That's it - I'm ashamed.
  4. I don't care - I just WANT ONE!
  5. We're planning an anniversary trip next year too. It'll be 10 years for us. We're seasoned cruisers in the caribbean and our last cruise was on the Norwegian Sun to Central America, which repositioned just after we were on it to cover Alaska. We loved the freestyle aspect and enjoyed the ship, so we'd have no problems going Norwegian again. Of the other cruise lines, our favorite has to be Royal Caribbean, which offers a great combination of value and quality.
  6. I forgot to mention one thing. Is there anyone who ISN'T reminded of a mid-80's Wing when they look at it from the front?
  7. I was at my stealer getting a new tire and they were uncrating and new Victory Vision and "getting it hot" for the showroom. We watched as they bolted this thing together and my first thought was "this looks odd". It has some nice features, but it really looks different - enough to buy, I'm not so sure. the 106CI motor looks good, but I just can't get past the fact that it's a motorcycle built by a watercraft company - and from what I hear, not a reliable one at that! The huge-looking saddlebags are actually pretty small as most of their bulk is appearance and not space and the gauges are a mile from the rider, making the bike feel huge from the driver's seat. There are dials and a nice LCD panel on the dash to control the built in radio and MP3 hookup in a bin on the tank. The model I saw did not have the extra chrome or a trunk and, I think, retails starting at around $19.5k - a lot of money to risk on something that may get laughs everywhere you go! If it had the Yamaha/Honda/HD or some other comparatively respected manufacturer's name on the side, it may be worth a chance, but Victory, not for me, I don't think.
  8. This is an interesting thread and there is some really useful information. However, I'm puzzled as to why it's in the Picture Folder?
  9. My name is Tony and I'm a Ventureholic!
