  1. Another vote for this one. Not a bad trip at all.
  2. I don't think you can change the second Gen wires unless you use a wire splice and I wouldn't do that if not necessary. The caps may look clean but can still be your problem. I think it just takes a screwdriver and being carefull with the little parts. I don't do this because on 1st Gens you can change the wires. The caps are sneaky little things that will steal your fire while looking fine.
  3. I would tell them I don't trust rings that have been pulled. They will break.
  4. I got a spare tire hanging around my waist!!
  5. Could be plug wire end Caps. Take them apart and clean good. Be carefull very little parts in these that like to run off and hide. Just watch as you take them apart.
  6. I can ride now just a few bugs to make sure I stay ahead of the 2nd Gens!!!
  7. Can't see the rust til you get down under the thing. I could patch holes but this is pretty bad. Lower rocker panels under plastic trim gone and door frame eating away. Much longer and floor pans and roof will be all holding it togather. You could not see this when I bought the thing. I first noticed whem I started to jack the thing up and jack just kept going up without raising car. Salesman probally still laughing.
  8. Congrats!! Keep at it!!
  9. Nope Warden says I'm taking her to Doc appt. today. And the sun is going to shine. Got to work on it a little yesterday. New Glass Matt battery from Earl. Don't think I'll have to upgrade cables now. Cranks like a new one!!
  10. Been doing the Sea-Foam??
  11. I thought about that but if you took a look under that thing it is really bad where you can't see.
  12. Here is another Buick he has http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/inview/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=291773260&dealer_id=57764155&car_year=2003&dealership_view_name=kevinsautosaleswva&address=25113&sort_type=make_modelASC&cardist=5737 Cost more but 3 yrs newer and top of the line Buick. This one is probally a 3800.
  13. Thats what I use and my clutch don't slip.. Just ask my rear tire. Thats the one I keep changing.!!
  14. Thats me so far. Cheap tires seem for the most part to be just that. Kendra is the only one I've had any luck with and they seem to be a good tire.
  15. I will volunteer to punch Rev Phelps in the F****** mouth!! Is that Political???
  16. Its OK We will stop and wait on you while we are waiting on the other 2nd Gens!! Good Luck with it Hope you get a lot of miles & smiles out of it:clap2:
  17. I would like to try a 3800 from all I've heard about them. The last 3100 I had went over 200k til totaled and ran great used no oil between changes. Had pretty fair power.
  18. I've head that a lot but never had a 3800. Had a couple of the 3100's and you can't find much tougher. From what I hear 3800 gets as good or better MPG than 3100's Both Buicks seem like good deals. The 99 is a lot cheaper.
  19. The reason I'm looking at these Joe is low milage. I have checked the book prices and the Buick only list for around 35 but it is in great shape with very low miles. I could probally get a few yrs out of this one and it will probally do around 25mpg. The Concord caught my eye and it is loaded with all the goodies. Have no idea what kind of mpg this one would get which is getting bigger all the time.
  20. WOW!! A updated 1st Gen!!! I'm going job hunting.....can't afford that thing on retirement check.
  21. OK I need a car. Tarus is rusting from bottom up. In another year it will be Ugly. Runs great but body is junk. I have found two cars. Retirement check won't go for new one. What I found is; 99 Buick Century only 23k for $6000. Most of the goodies on this one and Buicks are hard to beat for dependabilty. Not sure what size V-6 in this one but they do around 25 MPG from what I know about them. Was going to go for this one because of milage then this caught my eye. 99 Chrysler Concord LXI with 45K. Loaded. Has more goodies than the Buick and I think looks better Warden don't agree. Both have great looking bodies. I don't know much about Chysler dependabilty these days (ran them in 60's when they were Muscle Cars) What kind of MPG could I expect with this one and will it last for a while. I think both of these are real low miles for the year and could last me for a while. WHICH ONE?? http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/inview/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=290785851&dealer_id=57764155&car_year=1999&dealership_view_name=kevinsautosaleswva&address=25113&sort_type=make_modelASC&cardist=5737 http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/inview/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=290635226&dealer_id=57764155&car_year=1999&dealership_view_name=kevinsautosaleswva&address=25113&sort_type=make_modelASC&cardist=5737 One more question. The Tarus is loaded and runs great. Just looking at the body has me fed up with it and it has developed a shimmy at higher speeds lately. It is a 02. What is it worth as trade-in.
  22. No one there Jack.
  23. Without this going south I'm going to continue to use Castrol. But do you think any of the Major Oil Companies would have acted any different than BP did? I don't.
  24. Until you meet the neighbors that can't drive and think it is a interstate!
