Yes the MK2 floorboards will fit but you have to make up a set of brackets to hang the exhaust. I used two short pieces of aluminum bar stock and hung them from the bolt for the rear subframe. You will also have to buy some longer bolts, and reuse the big bolt from your old footpeg mount, the rubber inserts the bolt goeas thru, and a bigger fender washer. I did a write up several years ago on it but it disappeared. BTW you should see a DVD in your mailbox today or tomorrow...

Most likely TCI or connectors. The tach uses ignition signal from TCI cyl 2 if I remember right. May be moisture in TCI or corroded connector...
