  1. I wanted to see one time how far I could go on reserve. Packed a small gerry can. I got 70 kms or 43 miles in old school conversion, when she ran out. That was running at 110 kmph or about 65 mph on a calm day.
  2. People who can't put tools back or things they've used ,where they got them from. A five minute job takes an hour, 55 mins to find the tool and 5 mins to do the job!!!!
  3. Kevin. If your pipes are shot, there are companies that dig a small hole at your city connection and bore in a new pipe right through your old one. No need to dig up your yard or wreck your sidewalk and driveway.
  4. I like the red. Matches the dash of my 08.
  5. I saw one in Nelson BC last summer at a Dry Cleaners. It said "Drop Your Pants Here"
  6. Nothing washes away a crappy day faster then a ride on the bike, the days stress is gone before I hit third gear!!! My daughter asked me the other day if I had a good ride? I said they're all good, just some are better then others!
  7. It's a toss up for me. But they do go together. My Russel Day Long Seat and driver backrest.
  8. i use one from Princess Auto that I'm pleased with. If the Url works it shows in the pic what the adapter looks like. It has four arms that swivel back and forth with rubber covered, V shaped metal holders. They fit around the frame quite nicely. http://www.princessauto.com/hlr-system/Documents/80/800/8002/8002043_manual.pdf
  9. 90000 kms or 55000 miles Went for a ride last night, and she died on me about a 1/2 hr into the ride. Fired right up after a minute or so. I think its fuel pump time?? Other then that no problems, its been a good bike.

  11. I have a Russel Daylong seat. I really like it, but they're a little spendy. There are lots of people on here that have done the Butler Mod and can't say enough about it. If you're not vertically challenged, the leveling links for Rick Butler or Diamond R are a good investment. I really like the improved handling. Have you gone to a 130 front tire. That helps a lot also. I went with the 1 1/2 risers on mine, I used to get the burning between the shoulder blades. the risers pretty much got rid of that.
  12. I'm 6'6" so I know your pain. there aren't a lot of bikes that fit. I've tried on a bunch of different bikes, and the Venture is still one of the best. I tried the Cycle-ergo site http://cycle-ergo.com/ and it seems to be fairly accurate. The Venture has a 30.3 inch seat height. Harley"s Ultra has a 29.7 inch seat height. The Victory CC seat height is 28.2 inchs. So back to your question, the Venture has the best seat to knee relationship. I don't know if this helps. Also on the cycle-ergo you can raise the seat height (it's the rider that rises but you get the point). Makes for some interesting hip and knee angle comparisons.
  13. That is one awesome road. When you get to the Idaho/ Montana state line you can stop for swim in the hot springs:cool10:
  14. Ding ding ding. We have a winner!!! You get a life time supply of motorcycle doors and kite fuel !!!
  15. It's on the west side of the our continent, south of the 49th. You could probably almost get to it in one days ride.
  16. Has anybody gone to see one of their concerts? For some old rockers they can still belt out a tune. http://www.paradiseartists.com/artists/happy_together/ Myself and a couple of friends rode to Jack Pot NV to take in the concert. We rode 3500 kms (2200 miles) round trip. Some of my non biking friends said we're a little nuts: confused24: They're playing in quite a number of places through out the States and one in Canada in Winnipeg.
  17. Does anybody recognize this sign at the beginning of this road ??
  18. Something a little different?
  19. 1938 Peugeot 135 350cc I'd like to get a set of mufflers like that. Without having to take out a second mortgage to pay for them!

  22. Not Sure what I'm doing wrong when I submit a guess. Tried to post another pic last night. I put it into paint, cleared off anything that would give it away. Previewed my post and it all looked good. Then when i checked my post, there was the answer across the bottom again. It was bed time so i just deleted it. What am I doing wrong??
  23. Would this work on a Second Gen. It would be cool to have a gear indicator. I know it shows 5th and also 4th if you've had the cruise on. It would be easy to hide!
