  1. Ruffy, I know that Skydoc has one that he loans out if you buy the valve cover gaskets from him. You might want to check with him to see where it is and when it might be available.
  2. I am 58 years old and one thing that I fully understand is that I will NEVER understand women. So it all started innocently enough. My wife has been wanting a Gazebo for some time now. So a couple of months ago, I decided to have one built for her. It was built by a guy down near Columbus, OH. It has been finished for a while but weather and the fact that my yard has been wet had delayed having it delivered. So yesterday it was finally delivered and Eileen loves it. So this morning I got a sweet text from Eileen telling me how much she loves the Gazebo, how much she loves me and how happy I make her. I replied of course that I love her too and that making her happy makes me happy. Then she replied that she wanted me to be more happy and that I have been under too much stress for the past few months. I reassured her that in spite of the stress, I am a generally happy person. BUT...she couldn't let it stop there. The replied that she wanted me so happy that I wake up every morning with something that makes me smile. So...I replied that I was trying very hard to make that happen but that Marrisa Tomei was not returning my calls. hmmmm....this is where I get confused again and don't understand...but apparently she does NOT want me to be happy after all. I just wish she would make up her mind. Go figure.
  3. That's right. You folks just bring me all those used helmets. I WILL sell them on Ebay.
  4. I don't know who is the bigger trouble maker...Eck or Eddie.
  5. Along those lines...connect two of them together, put a strap on it and you have a very durable protective bra for a ...er...well nourished lady.
  6. I agree. Very cool. I used to have a '55 with a 66 Mustang 289 engine and drivetrain. That is one that I wish I had held onto.
  7. If you haven't seen them, here are the instructions and dimensions of the bracket that I was making. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1427
  8. It's always a sad day when any biker goes down. Even more so when it's one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a quick and full recovery.
  9. No, I removed it when a member had one fail...it bent...and I didn't have any to replace his with. I did use it some but not as much as I thought I would. I planned to build another one but have never gotten around to it.
  10. I didn't use those parts on the second gen conversion. I usually got those pieces when I bought the used stands and I think I threw them all away a while back. Probably had a hundred of them. I'll look when I get home to see if I still have one laying around somewhere.
  11. What mess? It's just too far away for me but I think somebody is going to get a good deal on it.
  12. NO....I'll mark her paid. The thing is, when folks renew then it is an automated process. People need to send me a message to remind me if their spouses are members also so that I an update them manually.
  13. LOL...leave Freebird out of this. The $12.00 covers both husband and wife. I would like to thank Miles for stepping up to the plate on these auctions.
  14. I'm pretty sure that he patterned them after the ones that I was making. He had asked me if it was OK. If so, it is just a stand off a first gen. You should be able to pick one up off ebay for less than $20.00. Will be easy to make the few changes to hook it to the special bracket.
  15. OK Cowboy...if you want to take all the fun out of this thread. First of all, let me say that it's good to see you here again. You haven't been around much and we've missed you. Hope to see you at Vogel again this year if I can get there. As for the tires, I really don't know of any other options. Maxxus...Maxxim...something like that used to make one but I don't know if they are still around. One member here...may have been Pegscraper but I don't remember for sure, found a place that would put whitewalls on any tire. I'm not sure though, it may have just been car tires. I honestly don't know of any other options.
  16. I wash my bike every single year. Even if it don't need it.
  17. Anybody else smelling looove in the air.
  18. OK...somebody bought either patches or bells and then sent me a message telling me that PayPal had an old address. You sent me the correct address. Now I can't find the email and don't remember who it was. Please let me know if it was you.
  19. They do make the commander II in the 130 size. A lot of people here run the smaller size in whatever brand they like. I've never tried it and probably won't but many say that it improves handling. I'm happy with the way mine handles already.
  20. OK...it IS the Raider but I had it backwards. It comes with a radial on the rear and a bias on the front. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/products/modelfeatures/588/0/features.aspx
  21. I know that most folks will tell you not to mix a bias with a radial and I used to agree. Now I'm not completely sure that it's such a big deal. Yamaha actually came out with a bike a couple of years ago that came from the factory with a bias on the rear and a radial on the front. I will have to do some searching but I THINK it was the Raider.
  22. Miles, I don't know how tall you are but that is a major factor in my opinion. I took a short ride on one a few years ago and really thought I wanted one. Then at our International Rally last summer, Pioneer Motorsports was kind enough to let me take one on one of our day rides. I tell you, I couldn't wait to get off that thing after a couple of hours. I am tall with a long inseam. There was just no way for me to get comfortable on that thing. My back and shoulders hurt so bad that I wanted to just get off and walk home. Heck, I finally asked my wife if she wanted to try it and I road back on the passenger seat. I had a dealer tell me right up front that I was not going to be happy with it due to my height. He said that Can Am was aware of the issue with tall riders and there was talk about a new model to address that issue but that was a couple of years ago and I've heard no more about it. There are some highway bars on the market but they really don't address the issue.
  23. Well as I was driving home the other day, I was reminded of a pet peeve and thought to myself, it would be interesting to post this topic and see what others pet peeves are. So now here it is and I can't remember what that pet peeve was. So I guess a new pet peeve is not being able to remember what my pet peeves are. OK...this is not the one that I was thinking of but is still one of mine. I travel a lot so often dine out alone. I hate it when I go out to eat at night and the hostess immediately asks me "would you just like to sit at the bar". NO...I do NOT want to sit at the bar. I want to sit at a table or a booth where I can relax and enjoy my meal. NOT balanced on a bar stool. If I wanted to sit at the bar, I would say something like "if it's ok, I'll just sit at the bar". Please don't make me feel that my business is not as important to you just because I am alone. Now it wouldn't bother me so bad except that at least 50% of the time when I am asked this question and I say "no thank you", the hostess seems to get miffed about it.
  24. For anybody else who may have missed it, this is what I mean. Each entry in the list shows which forum where the post is located.
  25. I'm not sure what you mean. If you are going to the home page and looking at the lists of posts from there, they all clearly state which forum they are in.
