I just disqualified you. Whoever wins is welcome to use the guest house from Thursday night through Saturday night but doesn't have to use it that long if they don't need to. For those who don't know, it is fully equipped with kitchen, appliances, linens, towels, washer/dryer, etc. Heck, I'll even include a six pack of beer.

OK...we'll just make it simple. If you are coming to Maintenance Day in Oberlin, OH on June 8th and wish to be entered in this contest. Just reply to this thread. Please do not enter if you know you aren't coming. After I let it run for a few days, I'll just use the random number generator to pick a winner. So that 's all there is to it. The contest has started. OK folks, Eileen and I were talking today and are thinking about holding a little contest. The prize will be for free accommodations at my maintenance day in Oberlin, OH. As those of you who have been here before know, we have a guest house here. Last year I let Dano and Rose use it because he was still recovering from his accident. This year, I have not promised it to anybody. So...is there any interest? If you win, you can cancel whatever hotel reservations you have already made and stay here for free. If this is an attractive offer to any of you, let me know and I'll come up with a contest of some type or another. I will ask that only those who plan to attend maintenance day enter though.

Yep..you would need a bit of room to pass that one. It's not unusual at all here in Ohio though to see the big rigs pulling 3 trailers. Not as long as that but still long enough. I went by three of them yesterday on I80. Usually UPS or FedEx it seems like.

I have downloaded that and will take a look at it when I get the chance. Yes, there are some distinctions. Trial members have no access to the members list, cannot post classifieds, etc. Mostly things that keep somebody for joining as a trial member only to harvest members information, spam our classifieds, etc.

I didn't create that map. It was created by a member and I just added a link to it. I have nothing to do with the coding, that is all Google. There would be no way though to keep it even semi-private without a username and password. I was had a members map setup and also linked. It did not use Google at all but the company that did it finally discontinued the service.

Not a bad idea but there are already two places that such things could be posted. One is the "Links" page. Nobody ever uses it. The others are the forums under Rider Recommendations which includes Riding Gear and Accessories.

I would get them checked. It may not need it and many don't but I know of many others that needed it. There is simply no way to tell without checking them.

I agree 100%. Gatlinburg is WAY too busy and too touristy. Great place if you want to buy a T-shirt or Cap.

Snow is gone for now. Beautiful day yesterday. Looks like we may get some rain later today and tomorrow but at least there is NO SNOW. Hope it stays that way.

Miles, to me, what makes that car COOL is that it is such a little "sleeper". I'm sure you have surprised some people with it. That would be a lot of fun. Really does appear to be in great shape though.

LOL...you'll be waiting a while Dan. I'm SURE you will be old enough by the time that I sell mine. There are two problems with me selling it. First of all, I really can't afford to replace it with a new one right now. This one has been paid for a long time ago. Second of all, there is no way that I would take for it what people are saying that '99 models are worth. It's worth more than that to me.

I was in Cape Cod a few years ago when the zipper broke on my leather jacket. I took it to a local shoe and leather repair shop and he put a new zipper in that day.
