I don't still have it but my very first Venture was that gold '83.....great bike, got lots of compliments when I rode it. It's what started my on my Venture lifestyle....now I'm on my 4th.

I just tried it and it worked fine, although it did show a message saying that it couldn't.

C'mon people......Freebird and I can't be the only two old farts that remember this event!

Rode for three days each way to be there. It was a hoot.

Sorry Phil, would have loved to get out for a coffee with you but as you said, the "honey-do" list got in the way. Just the one project kept me going all day yesterday and still isn't done. Will be working on that again today. Looking forward to a bit of riding Saturday and seeing some old faces again. Hoping maybe somebody can assist me in mounting a Rivco centre stand on my bike. Anybody going there on a 1st gen that wants a driver backrest? Giving it away.

I have the battery that came out of my bike....nothing wrong with it....just replaced it with an Odyssey battery last year. Let you have it for a good price.....let me know.

I'm available during the week as I took that week off to get a few things done around the house but have to be somewhere by noon on Saturday....might drop by early just to say hello.

I have a backrest that I believe will fit the 1st gen Venture...it's been laying around in my garage forever and I have no use for it. Just needs the bolts to attach the mount to the bike. Free to the first person that steps up to the plate. You pay the shipping. I am located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.....you figure out the shipping to wherever you are. The box that it fits in in 19" long, 12" wide and 9 1/2 inches tall....I'm not a fisherman and don't have a scale so I cant even guess the weight. Willing to meet somewhere if not too far away.
