Saw a beautiful gold/beige 1st gen Venture travelling along hwy 8 heading into Lucknow, Ontario the other day....believe that was Friday. Was that one of us??

I have posted these before with no response so I will try one last time.......I have a first gen centre stand and a drivers backrest. As seen in the pictures. Free to anyone who pays the shipping. If I don't get any takers in a week or two, I will take them to the dump. Don't have room to store stuff that nobody wants.

Saw this on FB and had to share it.

Finally got out yesterday for a few hour for the first ride of the season....and the first real ride of more then an hour for a few years. The bike purred like a happy kitten and I was smiling the whole day.

I have a first gen centre stand and also a second gen centre stand,,,believe the second gen centre stand is a Rivco but not 100% sure. Both are free for the taking.....shipping is on your dime. Both are heavy so with the weight and size of the box needed, shipping might be a few bucks.

Well the sad news is with my bike having a lowering kit and with my limitations in lifting this heavy sucker of a bike, I have a 2nd Gen center stand to give away. I also have a 1st gen center stand to give away. Will post in the "Paying it forward" section.

With surgeries and life keeping me busy, I unfortunately didn't get around to answering this thread.....yes I still have this backrest and it is still free to whoever wants it....shipping is on your dime and might be expensive due to the size of the box needed.

Dropped in a new battery and she fired up pretty quick! That puts a smile on my face. Now we just need the weather to participate. With two Titanium knees, I'm not much for riding in the cold.

I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a centre-stand for my 2009 RSV thanks to be very generous member here, but with my various recent surgeries have been unable to get around to trying to attach it. Getting down to the group is difficult enough but getting back up is the hard part. Anybody nearby that would be able to assist with that project once the weather stabilizes? Hopefully in a week or two? Got a new battery and looking forward to getting a few rides in this year. Thanks.

Yes, that was the one I spearheaded in Kitchener. Man, that seems like a lifetime ago.

I don't still have it but my very first Venture was that gold '83.....great bike, got lots of compliments when I rode it. It's what started my on my Venture lifestyle....now I'm on my 4th.

I just tried it and it worked fine, although it did show a message saying that it couldn't.

C'mon people......Freebird and I can't be the only two old farts that remember this event!

Rode for three days each way to be there. It was a hoot.
