Yah,,,,,,, @saddlebum wasn't with me.

Makes a lot of sense. Perhaps there is one individual who knows what he is talking about and lays it out so that we can deal with it. The question that remains, will his advise be followed.

Time had come to have a new steed in the stall, so a 2014 Ram 2500 was recruited to compliment the already aged and worn in gathering. It took about 4 weeks to find this animal, there are not a lot of these on the market. Basically, we figured that a truck that would last 10 years would do the trick, so figuring out mileage and such, the 2014 was as ancient as I was about to go and it has only 143,000 km on it, so the trigger was pulled,,, now that's another story I might post some time. Yesterday though, I went out to have the alignment checked and after that I headed for the car wash. I have a ticket at $22.50\mth that allows me to wash my car 2 times per day for a month, and normally the automatic does a fine job. I think I'm quite happy with the results. So off I go to get'r cleaned up again. As per usual I line up, get through the gate, and get guided into the wash, the conveyor grabs the rear wheel, I set the truck into neutral, take my foot off the brake and allow the machinery to do their things,,,,, soap spray, whirling brushes, sliding terrycloth strips, opppsss! what was that?? something when bump!!! that not normal,, wonder what that was,,, but hey, we're still moving and getting cleaned,,, then,,,, crrrrrunch and water starts coming in at the top of the windshield and I realize that my windshield is taking on a different shape in the upper left hand corner,,,, something has decided that it would like to enter the drivers area, didn't even have the decency to knock on the door!!!, but just come right in where convenient. Reaction was to hit the brake and then slam it in reverse to back away form that animal, but then reality hit on my brain and I come up with the understanding that backing up would get the driver in the car behind me very upset when my brute would start pushing them back out of the wash that they have waited soo long to get into, so I did what any bright brained individual would do and that was to lay on the horn!!!!!!! Amazingly,, everything came to an immediate halt, water ceased to converge on my dashboard, brushes were no longer trying to wipe off unseen dirt, the noise was greatly reduced and I could see the intruder. Turns out that a terry strip had caught on the turning brush and as the brush turned the wound the strip around itself, lifted the brush which then in anger poked itself through my windshield. No marks on the rest of the truck, which was a bonus, it still looks as good as the day after the day I got it. Truck is now presently waiting for a new windshield to show up Monday AM, and then I can finish matching it to our trailer to go visit Evan and Anne in North Bay. So be forewarned,,, if something goes BUMP in the dark, there is likely a chance that the bump might mean something,,, best solution is to lay on the horn,,,, so be sure when you go out at night, take a horn with you,,, you just never know. I don't like it,,, but I guess things happen that way.

Tough luck, I got here first. Trying to avoid me or somethin? Your slider fell apart, not a new thing. Check very, very closely to see if it's cracked, it could be eh. If it is cracked, it's history, but you are in luck, know where I can find one without going to Burlington.

Nope!!! You're wrong about that,, I was there long before all that happened, just not able to show my face as yet, so was kept in secret in the gene pool. It took a long time and lots of committee meetings, diplomatic conferences, local surveys, demonstrations, and wars to decide on where I should premier, where I should hold court, which area(s) should have the benefit of my presence, and for how long I should be allowed to roam and direct those who would be my underlings. So far the only thing that worked out from all that, is that I was actually born, as for all the other stuff,,,, who's counting. Latest Update: Rally will continue as planned only a little bit different. 1) Canadians will not be attending / we can't cross the border legally. If you have made a deposit with Niagara Shores, please contact them and they will issue you a refund, or extend your reservation to next year. 2) Although elected chair of this committee, I will now have to bow out. (is there a conspiracy going on here?) Guess the reins go to Big Tom. 3) For the Americans, please check your state border crossings as some may be restricted, requiring quarantine. 4) For those who can and will attend, keep up the comradely, we will all be able to see other next year. 5) Gonna miss all you guys!!! Big time!!!

Best to start with the connections. First check the battery for full voltage, 12.6v. Check on the posts first and then check the cable clamps, then the cables. The trace the red cable to the next connection and then to the fuse box. Check at each connection, don't assume anything, not even crimped connections. Report back!

Good to hear that you is good. Any day we go out, car or MC, it's good to come back alive, nobody can guarantee a safe ride. We expect it, but it can't be guaranteed, so good to have you here still.

Most of our kids showed up late Thursday nite to replant our front yard. They spent the evening together having a hoot!!!!!! getting all the plants in order and then snuck over to our place to do the deed, you can see the results in the picture. Guess they figured that all covered the need for a Father's Day visit or maybe they thought it might be better not to disturb the beast any more, but they all called Sunday. We had a wonderful weekend. We had reservations for dinner, a real nice expensive type thing, but 30 minutes before our time rain broke out so the dinner was canceled, so we decided that doing a 50 year old thing would be kind of neat. Off we went to the A&W for burgers, they didn't have whistle dogs or swampwater any more, but what the hey, we ordered by the window and sat in the truck to eat it,,, just like old times,, and then we went for ice-cream,, just like we used to. We had a good weekend!!

Better get that scooter back together Ronnie, before somebody come along and steals that as well as your thread!! What's with you guys anyways, poor guy working hard at getting bearings in place and all you can talk about are other things,,,, what's he to think????? of us.

Nice thoughts there, Joe. Trouble is with fishing do we fish American or Canadian, and if you light a fire will it be attractive? and where are the roads the GPS is to follow.. but most importantly,, let Ben navigate? we did that last Sunday, and we missed turn offs, did u-turns and all that kind of stuff,,,, we would have to get started now just to find the lake!!

I know how much you like helping people, and if somebody calls and says the need something you would jump right in and help out. It's a fine characteristic to have, so don't let me get in the way. But,,, are you the only guy that can install stair lifts in Ohio? Why not let some of the other guys have some business as well. If you are wearing yourself out, then you are overdoing it. I think Eileen would like to have you for a husband for a few more years and in good enough shape to enjoy life together without her turning into a full time nurse. Sometime, in becoming retired the hardest thing is to change ones mindset.

I have a Ram 1500, 5.7, 2008. Have been very happy with it, but I'm not real concerned about gas mileage. It does it's job, handles well, sits well and has not given me any issues that wouldn't be expected. Not sure how the rust thing works out though, it's always been Rust Checked, so I have not had the pleasure of dealing with any of that other than a couple of rear wheel well spots. Presently looking to upgrade to a 2500 for better heavier towing. It should be the last truck that I will need,, at least for this life, and I'm thinking that the next life I won't need a truck.
