  2. Got any Grandkids Puc,,, you could entertain them for hours,,,, mine are jealous!!!!
  3. Not all locations show state or province. And cognac, for a color,, can't be that hard can it?
  4. Leave it to Ben to start typing before he is awake. Last I seen him he was in the back yard and I had to look close to see the difference, then it came to me, he was piled higher. Congrats on the addition Coff. Now with a brood of 4, it's only a matter of a little time before there could be twenty-four. Got an addition planned for the house yet?
  5. Same thing happened on my 85. Put on a different air filter and it ran good, until I asked it to go to work,,,, no way, too much air, back to the original filter and all was well.
  6. Very nice Puc, 'specially the last line, after all, if it weren't for the last line, this would be no life at all.
  7. And we all thought that what happens in VR.org, stays in Vr.org. Guess maybe that is not so!! Are we loosing it??

    Why?

Why did you have to bring all this up again???????? I thought we had made a change the last few weeks and had turned over a new leaf,,,, now we're still in the same book!!WHY did you do that?
  9. #2 cannot pull all the vacuum away from #1. The manifolds are separate. I suggest that #2 and #1 are not sync'd. #2 is governed by the idle set knob, it's under the carb rail in between #1 and #2. Turn the knob out until the bike just about dies, then try to adjust the sync screw for 1 and 2. You may have to repeat this. 3 and 4 will be out of sync with 2 when you do this, so you might have to go to that side to help out. Or you can go back to basics: get a long, 12" plus, thin wire that will reach to the butterflies. By sticking the wire between the butterfly and carb body you can adjust the butterflies (with the sync screws)to be very close to the same. Once that is done you can now start a sync.
  10. Time to drink more beer. I here tell that beer helps to replace brain cells somehow, and it kind of sounds like you might be in that category. The other thought is that if you could catch that fluid we might be able to use it for transfusion. There are some that could use an upgrade, even though it might not be much. The best to ya Puc, and prayers on the way for ya
  11. It is the Fool I tell ya,,, no bout-a-doubt it,,,,, we are visiting in our nations capital and that stuff has been coming down steady, not much, and nothin's sticking, but I now figured where it originates,,,,,,,, it's right here, so it all makes sense. I think we should hold these guys accountable!!!!!!
  12. Calendar needs some help, won't let me post, and says that I'm not allowed to .
  13. There is a drain valve, front n center under the rad, and the water pump that need old time service. That means they need service from getting old. Easy to do, need not take more than 1.5 hrs, and you should change the coolant by now anyways. As mentioned, call Skydoc.
  14. Looks and works good for me,,,,, now if you could just add COGNAC to the color choices I just know that we would attract more members and things would work that much smoother and faster.
  15. Hey you washed it What's with that???
  16. Get a bigger lawn tractor = less loads. Always more than one way to skin a cat.
  17. How could you,,, did you ask Taters??
  18. Don't worry too much Puc,, it was not the Fool that sent this,, this is a shot from way out on our wet coast,,, yep right from BC!
  19. And for those who aren't quite ready yet.
  20. I think you'll find it easier to stand back up with the wheel turned left. Maybe that doesn't bother you yet, but if you get older or suffer from other weaknesses you might find it helpful. Presently I don't have a side stand and I can't seem to locate a center stand either, so I just leave it pointed straight ahead, kind of handy not having to worry about that anymore, fun tooooo!
  21. Looks like it could have happened when the cover was installed with the shifter knuckle in the down position. That will put stress on the bushing\channel of the cover and cause it to break. You may have done the same thing. Be sure that when you install the cover that the locator pins (bushings) are in place and that the knuckle behind the cover is in the up position. It likes to be in the down position and the cover will almost fit that way, but needs a bit of persuasion to finally seat. The cover should slip on easily, especially the last little bit. I never used anything but a gasket, and you will need the proper gasket, because as mentioned, it sets the proper clearance needed for the shafts on the inside.
  22. Yep, I will miss him as well,,,,, when you would come over and spend some time, Jake was there to keep an eye on you and make sure I got him some water, even the last time you two were here and he was getting ready to go elsewhere. I thought it was kind of nice,,, I sometimes thought to get a dog, but didn't because I wouldn't be able to look after him proper, so then there was Jake to help fill the void a bit,,, gonna miss him some, he had a way of 'talking' to ya.
  23. Convert it,, a cargo trailer is a handy thing.
  24. We have a forum for that, called 'In memory of', that way it's easy found, or you can plunck it right here so that those who were interested enough to post get an immediate copy and know where to look.
  25. Wow, he made it, but left you with an empty spot,,,, that is going to take some time to get used to. In the process you will find that the Spirit of the Great Master will be with you. Another experience under the belt, and more love received. May you be blessed in the time of sorrow.
