  1. So what you are saying is that you like it here??? So do I, fact is I even come on when I'm on vacation from my holidays. Blessings to all of you!!
  2. Agreed. And check the battery voltage, at the battery posts and then at the fuse box. Voltage should be in the 12.5 v range.
  3. That piece of nylon is a spacer for the stuff on the shaft, the cable should not run on it although it might seem that way. Installing the cables is a literal PITA and even more so the way you have it routed, it can be done, but you'll find throttle response is horrible. Best is to go back-up and route the cable rightly.
  4. Generally there is enough length to do just as you did without any adverse effect, and unless there is a pinching possibility I would just insert a normal vacuum line. You'll pay big bucks for a OEM formed line.
  5. You Cheapskate!!!!!!,,, oh ya! You're Dutch!!
  6. Looks to me to be just an ordinary piece of vacuum line, nothing special I wouldn't think.
  7. SO why is it that on my truck the recommended plug change interval is 80,000 miles, but your bike with a brand new state of the art engine says 8,000 miles. What makes a MC so different? Even my Spyder recommends 28,000 miles.
  8. Start from the beginning of this thread and I think you'll find most of the answers to your questions.
  9. Open Office, (free download) will open that document
  10. Well now when it breaks down you might have an idea as to where not to look. It looks to me like Yamaha decided to mix things up pretty good, it's a wonder they left the wheels at the lower end and the handle bars in front of the rider.
  11. Be very careful here young man, you are dealing with 2 Dutchmen!!! and you should be aware of the definition of being Dutch: One who can buy from a Scotsman and sell it to a Jew and still make money.
  12. Yep!! looks like they need some renewing. I would grab a stick magnet to see if I could maybe by chance find it in the cylinder. It would make me feel better. Not saying it is even in there anymore, but you just never know.
  13. And oh!!! don't screw up the needle bearing, they are scarce as hen's teeth. Can't get them from a regular bearing supply.
  14. That is the inner race to the needle bearing, it is a separate part number. Small diameter goes to the outside of the wheel
  15. Maybe I could help you out a bit. Day 1, Sandwich Day 2, Sandfish Day 3, Sandy's drive in Day 4, A hill of beans Day 5, Fishwich Day 6, Sandflies Day 7, Leftovers from the above

  17. By what I seen him at the border with, it might be interesting!
  18. Lets see, the menu: Monday , steak Tuesday, Gr steak Wednesday, Tube steak Thursday, leftover steak Friday, hamburgers Saturday we go out for supper Sunday, we're on a diet Which day would you like to mooch on us?
  19. Poor connection somewhere. Give all connections a tug to see if the wire comes out of the crimped end. I know we don't like doing that very much and are usually very careful no to, but hey, if you can pull it out it needs fixing anyways.
  20. Yep, I would have done the same thing. Park it until all the traffic clears. The most vulnerable position for a bike is a stopped position.
  21. It sure be pretty, and the bike is nice as well.
  22. Sand Hills is nice, but a loooong way DOWN to the beech, and then back up again to get more beer. We will be attending Rock Point PP in Dunnville, close to the beech, nice park, good staff, clean washrooms, quiet surroundings, but the beech is mostly gravel.
  23. Don't forget the new horns, side-stand plate (can't use an old one for a new Venture now can ya?), LED lights for the rear, and while you're at it some for the front and side, brake pedal cover, billet shifter, heated passenger grips, navigation system upgrade, tour trunk rack bag, saddlebag liners, NO you're not done yet. Got to keep the economy on a roll there bro!
  24. Well that's a bummer, Marca is camping with me as well. Where are you guys going?
  25. Ya well, if you had come to the WNY rally you wouldn't be LOLing so late in time, you'd still be nursing sore stomach muscles from being there in person, not only from the laughter, but also from other things such as good food.
