  3. OK, don't laugh. My 05 Venture with 60,000 miles on her that 50,000, was mine from 07 had her triked last year and only put 2,000 on it due to back and wrist problems. But 14 hear I come.
  4. I have the shield and so far I like it but have not rode with it in the rain. Well not with it in the up position. Got blasted in the ga mountains riding with a group and had no time to pull over to switch. Just ate some rain
  5. Happy New Year Larry and to all the other members of our forum.
  6. Larry, it's been a few since I've been on the web. Glad everything went well and the healing time has started. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
  7. I just unplugged them. Never had a problem in cold weather with them disconnected.
  8. Nice. Thanks for the pic's!!
  9. So sorry to here this. Prayers lifted.
  10. Nice!! Keep us posted. Just might have to do this after this riding season. I had one time that a reverse was defenitly needed. A one lane dead end road with no turn offs and on an incline. It wooped my butt.
  11. Thanks Rick, is your Venture triked. I bought the bike used and never checked the settings until today. It was set at 5 and 6500. She ran great until lately, hard to start after she was warmed up. Don't think anything was done to it as it still had stock air filters, I added the K&N's a few years back. So today I set it to 3 and 7,000. It sure did start better and ran better. Carbs are synked and the pms screws out slightly. Somewhere I read after triking to drop it to 3 because of the added weight and pulling a trailer.
  12. Just asking what people are running on there D3K power module. I have a 05 Venture triked by Hannagin.
  13. Can I borrow someones valve shim kit. I will pay postage each way. Thanks
  14. I have never used one but might in the future. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Freedom-Pivot-Ball-Hitch-/110892182862?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d1b06d4e
  15. John, another question, was that 500 mil fork oil in each tube or 250 in each. Thanks
  16. Wade, I got mine from here. Scroll down to the bottom. http://www.chromeglow.com/catalog.asp?prodid=522355
  17. Knock on wood. No fuel pump problem on my 05 midnight venture yet. Ignition switch and rear shock replacement, both under warranty before it expired.
  18. Thanks John!! Have fun in Vegas. Remember what happends in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
  19. John, it's looking good. I have a question for you, when u replaced the fork springs does the pvc spacers go in first or last (on top of the spring)before you screw the cap on top. I'm going to replace mine next week.
  20. Congratulations Jim!! Long time coming. I retired 2 years ago with 37 years with the DOD. Enjoying life now but still miss it. Have fun and do something to keep u busy (riding).
  21. John, find a tree near by. lol. My Venture will be picked up this week and triked by Hannigan through Trikes by Coach Rice in Loganville Ga. Kit will be ready on the 17th and trike delivered back the week after Christmas. Long time waiting. Hope all works out for you. Bob
  22. Wow, I don't think just the rake kit would shorten that distance, it only kicks the forks out more. Are the forks even at the top of the tripple tree?
  23. Ok next question, how hard is it to replace the springs? Never tried this but have replaced the oil a few years back.
