  7. The solenoid is at the end of the positive battery cable, about 10 inches below the battery. To get to it remove the left passenger’s floor board and side panel. The 30 amp fuse is beside the solenoid. Earl

Thanks for this good info Mike. I want one, but I can't justify the cost at this point in my life. I do hope they sell well and Yamaha has a lot of happy customers.
  9. We thank you Lord for all of your blessings today..
  10. With nothing hooked to the positive post, there is no path for current to complete the flow from negative to positive. I have seen batteries that were wet or dirty conduct enough current from post to post to drain a battery, but I think you said it did the same thing with a new battery.I would sure love to see a video of your test. When you get it figured out let us know? Earl
  11. Back in 1992 I attended a Venture Rally in Kalispell. The prices in that area were very reasonable back then, but that was 25 years ago. There sure is some awesome riding in that area!!!! Earl
  12. Thanks for the info and the link..... Earl
  13. Wow 13, I am hoping for less than that, but mine is way over due.
  14. Thanks Bob, I want to buy a few of the most used shim before I do the valves on my bike. Earl
  15. When you adjusted your vales, what was some of the more common size shims used? Earl

  17. The 11 gen only has one..
  18. Praying for Shirley and you..... Earl
  19. That voltage should keep the battery charged. I would hook a volt meter straight to the battery and see what the readings are. I like to see 13.4 to 14.2 volts. Earl
  20. I think it is a 8mm X 1.25 thread pitch with an allen head. Earl
  21. I trust you are on the fast road to recovery. Praying for you and getting the bike where you need it to be. Earl
  22. If the heads and jugs can be removed with the engine in the frame, would that just be considered normal 100,000 mile service???? LOL Earl
  23. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am at a loss of words, all I can say is I will be praying for you. Earl
  24. Good to see you got it back together and working good. I just got my stator back in Thursday and I was glad to see 14 volts again. Earl
