25V is not high, in fact it may be a little low. First check all of the new connectors to be sure that the contacts are inserted fully. Check it at above 2,000 RPM. Make sure that your volt meter is set on AC and on a high scale, I use 200VAC scale. Check each pair of wires. 1-2, 2-3, 1-3. The voltage should be very close to the same on each pair. Around 25VAC at idle is about right, It will rise to well over 50VAC at high RPMs. It is possible to be sneaking up on 100V. WARNING Be careful while doing these checks The unloaded stator at higher RPMs is outputting potentially dangerous voltage.

I was concerned about getting this monster up on the center stand. when I was looking at on the dealers floor the salesman about 5' 6" and MAYBE 120 lbs moved the bike away from the wall and popped it up on the center stand like nuttin. I figured that if he could do it, then I would have no problem. HA! I had a hell of a time getting the bike up on center. Now that I have the proper technique down, its really no big deal. Granted I do have a fair amount of tonnage to throw at it. Some people put one or both tires up on a board to help out while learning the technique.

Moving the axle back is the hard way of extending the tongue, and as mentioned it may make it difficult to get the proper tongue weight when loaded. If you have sway, and you have the correct tongue weight, it is usually easiest to extend the tongue. There are several ways of going about it.

One can only wonder if this video will mysteriously make it back to the police chief. If I were that rider I would have not confronted the cop at that time. I would most likely have dealt with it just as that rider did. Had the rider stuck up for his rights at that time it could have gotten ugly fast. But I would certainly have pursued it afterwards, once I had a copy of my video, especially if there was any damage to my bike. I can not tell from the vid just how close behind the cop was, but it did look like the bike made a sudden stop that was not really necessary. You can see the front of the bike dip as it stopped a second before impact.

IIRC in the article it did mention that the bolts were "scientifically rusted" to ensure repeatability.

I have a MKII with the 10" bull barrel. My buddy can hold 2" groups at 100 yards with it. I wish I could.......

Is the clutch getting full engagement with the lever all the way out? Or is this something that has changed recently? My venture clutch does not start to engage till the last half inch of travel but does still lock up solid.

If I am reading the wiring diagram correctly, the front and rear flashers are already connected together on each side, you should only need 2 of the diode sets. One for left and one for right. If this is correct, then you do not need to even go into the fairing unless that is where you want the switch.

Most peoples driving in general gets to me. Making right turns to the left lane, left turns to the right lane. Lane changes with no signal not taking their turn while merging. Cutting and weaving to get in front of someone only to stop and make everyone wait for them to make a left turn. Now see, you almost got me started..............

If it is red it is ready to go. If it is white it needs to be oiled before use. The K&N oil is red so that you can tell when you have full coverage. When it comes time to clean it, it will be white when fully clean.

It all depends on your definition of "useful". If someone posts a comment that contained no technical information, but that someone else may find humorous, and that person was having a bad day and just got an emotional boost from the snide comment, then it was a useful post to that person. Some may that a post that was a really bad comment with the intention of being totally sarcastic. If you have that much time to be scrutinizing the numbers of thank that people have. That only means that you are not spending enough time chasing your front wheel down some twisty road. So get out there and start chasing that front wheel.....
