I am wondering if I will see him blow past me on the way to MD. We will be two 1st gens, a white one and a burgundy one pulling a trailer.

I was just trying to head off a problem before it becomes a real problem. After reading up on a copy of some pages from the service manual, this is weird operation is normal and the way it is supposed to work. When cruising down the road the computer will occasionally turn off the alternator to help save fuel. The computer will also kick it way up at other times and under certain conditions. this all lines up with what I was seeing.

I'm running out of places to put stuff so I must be getting close to being packed.........

I could never allow a broken anything to be dumped on someone else. I guess I am stuck with it till it is fixed in another 250K miles or so.

Also double check your oil level. It should be no more than half of the glass With the bike upright and level.

As long as it is supposed to do that I can deal with it, I just want to be sure that if there is a problem, I get it fixed while it is still under warranty.

I have a 2011 Silverado LT, 5.3L. When I first start the truck it is charging at 14.8 - 15.0 Volts. After a while it will instantly drop to 12.6 - 12.8 V. While driving it is either at the high or the low volts, It never runs in the middle at 13.8-14.0 like everything else I have ever owned. I was told that the computer plays some games with the alternator on these trucks. Is this High and low charge voltage normal? I am not basing this on the dash gage. I am using a good Fluke meter. I still need to buy a factory shop manual for this truck.

My bank does not want them rolled. They would rather dump then into their counter. Some people do not count so good and always seem to be short by 1 or 2 coins. But then they will only do your change IF you have an account with them.

I am not sure what the route will be from Toledo to Dons once we meet up, as long as it has a gas stop near Dons. Stop "F" on the map is where I topped off last year and it worked well for me. I'll call you at the last stop before the restaurant to let you know what our progress is.

They all come with a few scratches already, that way you wont have to feel bad. After all I am digging them out of a scrap barrel.

Any new device that makes a sound the deer have not heard before will work till the deer get to know it. Once it becomes a normal sound when they are near the road then it is normal and will no longer have any effect on them. The sound of your vehicle does not bother them alongside of the road because they hear it all the time. But when I drive deep into the woods where deer do not know the sound of an engine as an everyday sound, the scatter like cockroaches when the lights come on. I am sure that the cheap air powered whistles worked for a while when they first came out, now that they are everywhere, it is just another normal sound that cars make. so a lot depends on just what sound this new device makes and is it different enough from the other noises that they are already used to.
