I had Michelin Commander 11 s on the Road star I had they had basically the same thread pattern. my thought were the same as yours. They handled well in some very hard downpours. One time in the mountains of NC. I was totally surprised at how well they did. Never lost any traction even with water running across the road.

The BRP is the most beautiful ride you will ever experience on a bike in the south east. If you plan your trip you print out maps to look for lodging and site seeing at various milepost. Roads are usually in great shape and well groomed with speed limit at 35 to 45 MPH. I would also plan to ride on thru Skyline Drive to Front Royal VA. Then Return via Shannondoah Valley, Luray VA. and see the Caverns. After that easy to Hit I-81 you are running short on time SLD has about a 10.00 fee for 7 day pass no charge for BRP You will cross I-64 Where BPD ends and SLD Begins. There are many connections to major roads and towns with lodging along the way and a fair amount of campgrounds within daily travel. Plan 4 to 5 days of fun. If you have trouble finding BRP info PM me with your address if I find my book of The BRP I will send it to you. It has the BRP by Milepost most everything listed. Also I plan to go to my home in NC next weekend and I will get you more info if you need it. I have traveled this for many years and always enjoyed it . I have traveled this entire span in a 33' Motorhome 3 times and planning the entire trip this year on my Venture Camping Along the way. Have already ridden most if but want do entire trip.

I bought a 2006 RSV I am newbie to this site but have enjoyed all the help and support on the site. My question is my Betsy has abiut a 5 gallon gas tank no star emblems. I am thinking it should have a six gallon tank. Is there amod or something where the tank is swapped. Just curious like thebike the way it is.
