Still riding 2013 Venture. Last time was out in South Dakota area. Enjoyed it very much but now maybe looking at Trike option or maybe even a Spyder. (Carl would be happy ) .

Thanks to Paul, Mary and Izzy for a wonderful time. Great hosts and great seeing everyone again. We made it across the western border this time and now are in Michigan camping/riding for a few days and then will leave for MT Rushmore. Thanks once again for the meet and greet. Sorry, wasnt me with the lift a ma jig. I have seen lifts like that advertised many places. One is [h=1]Rampage power Lift Motorcycle loader.[/h] As far as your rust, where the inner and outer fender skins meet in the wheel well, Ford never sealed the gap with anything so salt , dirt and anything else could accumulate there. That is why they rust out so bad in that area. My old 2008 F150 did same thing before I traded it. (not that bad thou). Ed

The 2012 Venture is 5 pin not 7. and the goldwing is also 5 pin . That is why. The 2018 venture is 7 pin. Hope this clarifies a little bit.

That seems to be the norm. My 2013 is the same way, low fuel trip meter starts and then a few miles I have to switch to reserve. Fill up with about 4.5 gal.

I have hauled my venture in my toyhauler for years. The Harbor freight wheel chock is bolted to the floor and when I arrive at destination, I unbolt it and all that is left are the well nuts that I put in the floor. As far as the ramp, two 2x4s cut to about 5 or 6 feet are put down where the ramp meets the ground. That way I can "walk" the bike up or down the ramp and my feet still touch. The boards store just about anyplace when traveling. Works great.

I ride mine into the hauler. I use 2 short 2 x 4s (one on each side) to bridge the gap where the ramp meets the ground and my feet wont touch. With the 2 x 4s there, I just (ride) walk the bike nice and easy and I can control it as fast or slow as I want. Works for me getting it out of the hauler also, no need for 2nd person as your feet are always in contact now.

I had a 2007 Stratoliner (traded it for Venture) and went darkside with NO problems at all. Strat handled as well as mc tire. There was a forum or webpage for darksiders that offered a lot of information on it. Cant remember where the info was.
