  2. Sorry for your loss, hold on to the memories. Your in our thoughts Mike
  3. Here's a question for the masses, our 02 RSV has had the rear lowered and also the front lowered, if I went with these links in the rear and then took the front back to stock height would I get better handling at slow speeds. I find the bike in its current state handles great when I am solo, but with my co pilot on the back seat it can be a heavy feeling at slow speeds. Just thinking of raising the rear as I am considering pulling a trailer with the RSV. Thanks, Mike.
  4. We have the same with a couple of roads to get to my brothers place, but it isnt nearly as bad as the road you were on sounds.

  13. Sounds like you have done quite alot to it. only a bit more I am guessing. Good luck with the rest. Mike
  14. When bleeding the brakes Front right caliper, bleed this with the front brake lever, ensure that you always have fluid in the reservoir on the handle bar by the front brake lever. Front Left Caliper, this is bled by depressing on the rear brake pedal, make sure that you have fluid all the time in the rear reservoir Back brake, use the rear brake pedal again make sure the reservoir is full Bleeder at the top of the steering neck (under the Fairing) this is bled by pressing on the rear brake, if you find there is nothing coming out of it, the air may need some help getting up to the bleeder, put some weight on the rear brake pedal and leave it for a few hours, the air will eventually make its way up to the bleeder. My 86 was a bit of a pain when I first got it as there was lots of air in the system and the fluid was real dirty. Good luck
  15. Where in Ontario are you? There are a number of us in Ontario. I am in Hamilton. Mike
  16. I agree 100%, my daughter and myself just did our first Port Dover Friday 13th last week, her on her bike, myself and my wife on my bike. It was very cool. When she comes up to me and asks if I want to do a coffee run or ice cream ride those are special as well......even more special when she pays. Thanks for sharing. Mike
  17. Wayne, Tammie and I are doing the same thing for our ride in July, Route 19 south from Erie is a nice road to ride on, on the same trip we stopped at the original Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon Pa for dinner, eve better the day we were there was Bike Night. We are considering riding Rte 6 across on our way to Ohio from Watkins Glen Ny, it does look like a real nice road for a ride. We stopped at the information area and told the person working where we were going to and asked for some good roads to ride as options to the Interstate type roads. Mike
  18. I can't believe I read the whole thing.:rotf:
  19. Second, third and fourth on the Carbon One adapter, works like a dream, just used mine today to check the steering head bearings. Great investment for the RSV. Mike
  20. Mover, I am in Hamilton, few hours away, I have never done a clutch before, but don't mind getting my hands dirty. Depending on when you are looking at doing the repair, I may be able to lend an extra set of hands. Mike
  21. Congratulations to your daughter.......that is a great family picture.
  22. If I can, depending on what day it is, I would be glad to lead you around on a ride or two through the Niagara area if you wish. Mike
  23. Hi Tim, We are planning a trip down to the Watkins Glen are in NY for a couple of days and then on to Geneva on the Lake Oh in late July, one of the routes we are looking at is Route 6, everything I have read about it sounds great. Mike
  24. Howdy, For Ontario, you have to wear your helmet. Some great roads around Niagara while you are here. Coming into Ontario, traveling along Lake Erie is a nice ride, stop in Port Dover is always good. When you are in Niagara, trip into Niagara on the Lake is a nice little ride or for a longer ride while in the area, traveling the Wine Route is a nice ride. When are you doing your trip? Mike
  25. Great video Scott, never thought of a Venture as an Adventure Bike. Thanks for sharing. Mike
