Hey guys, thanks for the suggestions. Pulled the cap and it's got plenty of coolant and has yet to be changed. It's just now at the two year mark and 6000 miles. The radiator is clear with no blockage or damaged to it. Definitely at a loss here.

Okay, I checked the overflow and with the bike level the coolant is 3/8" over the low indication and the oil level is exactly in the middle of the min and max lines. From your response I'm assuming that the oil discharge is not associated with the overheating?

The wife and I set out on a ride this afternoon on our 2013 RSV. Beautiful day, lots of sun and a temperature around 79F. As were heading down the interstate at 75MPH I start noticing that I'm feeling more hot air around my legs than normal and at about the same time my wife asks if I've changed anything on the bike since our last ride because her left leg is a lot hotter then usual. Everything sounds fine and the tach is still at 3500rpm as normal for that speed. We've only gone about 12 miles from the house at this point so with both of us noticing a difference I pull over into a weigh station and take a cursory look at the bike. I don't see anything out of the ordinary but the engine is much hotter than I've ever felt before so I decided to head back home. Got home and turned the bike off and then turned the key back on but didn't start the bike. I was startled to hear the fan came on as I've never heard it before in the 2 years we've owned the bike. Even after an 1100 mile ride through Kentucky last month not once did I hear this fan come on when at a stop. Anyone have an idea as to why my bike was running so hot after less than 25 miles? As I said it wasn't an especially hot day and I'm a little concerned about this. The oil level is fine and was actually just changed 6 weeks ago prior to our SS1K to Mobile 1 synthetic 10W40. I did notice a small bit of oil on the garage floor, maybe the size of a 50 cent piece, after it had sat for about an hour. It looks like it came out of the middle of the 3 drain lines under the bike (see pic). I've never had oil under the bike so again I'm concerned with all this. Any help would be appreciated.

Any 2nd gen riders using a tank bag of sorts and if so what kind? Looking for something that'll hold glasses, phone, snacks, etc for those long, don't want to stop till I absoultley have to, rides. Thanks.

Bought my RSTD, my current RSV and a used Vstar 250. They've got a great staff and as others have said their prices are a lot better then any others in the area. Would definitely reccomend them if you're in the market.

Just a couple of hours down the road from us. As long as work doesn't get in the way the wife and I will be there. What do the shirts look like? Can never have too many t-shirts hanging around!

Getting flustered this morning. Got a few things I'm wanting to do to the bike this this weekend and I'm having a heck of a time getting the bike up on the jack. I'm using a Craftsman pro mc jack but I'm not seeing anywhere on the bottom of the bike where I can get a solid contact between the bike and both arms on the jack. On my RSTD I was able to lift it with both arms braced against the frame of the bike but I'm not seeing that as an option on the RSV. Can someone chime in and give me some pointers before I end up dropping this beast?

Hey all..looking for a rainsuit for my 6'6" 180 pound frame. From what I've looked at so far it seems if I want pants that have a long enough inseam I need a size XXXXL that will expand to a 54 waist. There's got to be something out there for those tall/skinny riders. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated.

Anyone know where I can get a clear tail lens for my RSV? I've got the LED lights for the tail light and blinkers but I had to give up the clear lens when I sold my RSTD. Thanks all...

Thanks for the all replies. Ed, the only thing in my left saddlebag is the cable that I'm assuming is also for the CD changer. Got the Ipod but not the branded one. They didn't have those so they gave me a 16gb plain jane touch instead.

Hi all. Just picked up my new 13 Venture after a long bout with a Tour Deluxe. Great bike and no complaints. First question for those with the knowledge. What the heck is the iSimple audio interface for and is it already installed on my bike? Talked with my dealer about and he hadn't even heard of it before and had no idea what I was talking about. Supposed to look into it for me but I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Thanks from a new rider in West Tennessee. Rob
