I am talking about the nut at the top, yes you use a screwdriver and a hammer to tighten the bottom 2 nuts. Just looking for the size so I can use a wrench rather then Channel locks or an adjustable wrench. Mike

Hi All, Does anyone happen to know what size of wrench is used for the crown nut (I think that is what is called) on the steering head of a 2nd gen when tightening the steering head bearings. Thanks Mike

That is cool, and it started right up for ya. What a sweet bike. The steps you went through on this kinda reminded me of the stuff we used to have to go through on a buddys old triumph when we were kids. Thanks again for letting us share in your adventures Mike. -
