Hi Bob,
Appreciate the offer, but I should be ok with the hammer and screwdriver. But you can let me pick your brain for a few minutes at Carls in a couple weeks, regarding some different roads in your area.
Thanks again for the offer.
Mike.
I am talking about the nut at the top, yes you use a screwdriver and a hammer to tighten the bottom 2 nuts.
Just looking for the size so I can use a wrench rather then Channel locks or an adjustable wrench.
Mike
Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know what size of wrench is used for the crown nut (I think that is what is called) on the steering head of a 2nd gen when tightening the steering head bearings.
Thanks
Mike
Dave,
You and Cathy up for getting together for lunch tomorrow, we could meet somewhere between us and get the mufflers on their way to Ground Hugger.
PM sent to you
Mike
That is cool, and it started right up for ya. What a sweet bike. The steps you went through on this kinda reminded me of the stuff we used to have to go through on a buddys old triumph when we were kids.
Thanks again for letting us share in your adventures
Mike.
Puc,
What a great bike and it has been said we all know you will respect and honor the history of it.
How you and Tippy find these amazing machines, I guess that is a question we all wonder.
Thank you very much for letting us share in your finds and adventures.
Mike.
