So I'm ready for a change in pace and location and I was wondering if anyone has heard of any job opportunities in their area.

I've got experience in the automotive field and i have an auto tech degree, however i'm not too interested in being a mechanic. I'm the assistant team leader in my department at the factory i work at now, but i think it will be kind of neat seeing what you guys have around your areas for opportunities.

I dont mind hard work and i've got that small town attitude!

Well,, here is a good example of the kinda job ops in our area http://muskegon.craigslist.org/csr/4681871185.html

Muskegon is in pretty rough shape economically, nice area though for biking and snowmobiling if your into those radical things..:stirthepot::backinmyday:

FYI, you can search all of Craiglist by using Adhunt'r. Just to test the waters I went there and searched "Automotive Employment" and here is what popped up.. http://www.adhuntr.com/2012/05/all.html?cx=partner-pub-9413604915893153%3Ao8xsd8d7h7s&cof=FORID%3A11&ie=UTF-8&newwindow=1&q=automotive+employment&as_qdr=a&sa=Search#2218

You can go there, change the search and come up with all kinds of opportunities all over the country.. Hope this helps somehow!:backinmyday:

tons of jobs up here just at the north side of the Bakken oil field, OIl related jobs, trucking mechanic, also a lot of mining and related jobs in that too. Unemployment here is under 3%.

here is some info http://thinksask.ca/work1

Over the last few years the provincial govt has set up job fairs in Ireland, Britain and other places to bring people in to work as semi driver, nurses etc.

checkout the Birmingham, Al job market, there some jobs coming open at Honda mfg in Lincoln, Al. Mercedes plant in vance, Al is opening up another line next yr for about 200 folks. down around Mobil, Al there's a new steel mill going up and an Airbus mfg plant. you can go to google a search for these and problly find out more about it. good luck, I was out of work for 6 months about a year and half ago, finally got a good job at ice cream plant. you can checkout www.deanfoods.com and see for jobs are available. there's around 62 plants all over usa, I work at Mayfield Farms in Birmingham, AL.

Around here there is such a demand for welders that it does not take much more than being able to spell welder to get a welding job. I think the spelling part might even be an open book test......

There are also constant commercials on TV and radio looking for semi drivers with no drug history and a fairly clean driving record.
