    Vogel 2025

Anybody heading down today beware of flooding in the Chattanooga area if that’s your route.
  5. We’re pulling out this morning to head down there.
  6. Right now I’m running a Shinko front. The fronts last long enough I haven’t gone double dark.
  7. what tire do you darksiders run on the front then?
  8. I’m headed to the Vogel rally today, mountain twisties darkside annually. Turning isn’t an issue.
  9. Additionally, I thought there was a little more counter steer when I first went dark but that feeling dissipated quickly. I 100% notice better stopping and better handling in wet weather. There was no difference in cornering traction. Tires have lasted 20 -30 K miles compared to 5 - 8 K with MC tires.
  10. On the '06 I ran a Nexan. on the '18 I run a g-Force 2 205/55/16
  11. +1 on the Nexen. Easiest tire change I've ever done and great ride/performance.
  12. Yep Nexen is what I use. Look under the forums tab and scroll down to darksiders.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Lisa and I will be heading down Thursday morning.
  15. The carb tuner is sold.
  16. I haven’t but know that some members have. Hopefully one of them will see this and help. I don’t know why but Nexxen comes to mind.
  17. Has anybody on here use a car tire on their venture? If so, what are your experiences and tires your use, and how many miles do you get and do you feel any different in handling? Thank You in advance.
  18. Does anyone have the mounting instructions for the Clarion DC 625 CD Changer? I have this kit with these three Yamaha part numbers for my 2009 RSV. Cable was in the bike when it was new. Its working fine but It appears to only mount on the Saddle bag hinge with one bolt. Seems to be really heavy for one bolt. I see some have put it in the trunk. I do not know if the cable will make it into the trunk or if I want it there. It works where it is in the bag but I was wondering if that was where Yamaha installed it and what others have done. I bought this brand new in the box and as I said it works great so far. I am enjoying listening to old CD's from my past. Basically 6 hours of music to fill in the gaps where I can't pick up the FM channels, We only have a few with large gaps in between a the Bike Radio does not do as well as the Vehicle but even that has gaps. Was looking at the Marshall Mod for the antenna's and wondering if that works to improve reception. But that would be another thread. I have Numbers STR-4XY89-81 mounting bracket STR-4XY89-83 damper And STR-CDCHG-10-01

  20. Nice bike and good for you to get it running and back to it's glory!
  21. Canada can truly get very hot during the summer months. Glad to hear you guys has some great rides over the weekend.
  22. Yes, it was hot but great getting together 2ith some old friends again.
  23. Got out for 50klm ride to Kitchener Ont. to meet up with @ReinyRooster and Don for coffee and to pick up his carb tuner! had a good conversation and decided to go for ice-cream. Only @ReinyRoosterand I went as Don had other things to do(his loss) Ended up going to Listowel Ont. which is 48min.and 60klmfrom where we were! Was fairly strait roads but was STILL A RIDE with the prize of ICE-CREAM in the end! We had hard ice-cream in a cup which was worth the ride! We parted ways on the way back around Anna Mays(very popular Mennonite restaurant) and was an hour and a half ride back home for me(90klm). NO I didn't have trailer so couldn't shop anywhere! Ended up being a very hot ride but don't care! was great to meet up with someone! Weather said it was 30 to 40degFer. with humidity! Hope this won't be the last meet-up!
  24. Nice bike and great job for bringing it back to life! As I was reading your post, it felt that your friend has no doubts about passing along the keys to you. Enjoy the rides!
  25. VERY NICE !!! Every once in a while life throws you a bone like that. Congrats.!!!
  26. Good story,,, take care of it well!
  27. Very nice. The day that I bought my first ‘99 Venture off the showroom floor, I reactive a Valk Interstate that morning. It was a difficult decision but the RSV just barely edged it out. They are great bikes.
  28. Great job bringing that bike back from the land of perpetual “when I get around to it!”
  29. I remember when I turned 16 my Dad said I could only buy a bike as long as I took a motorcycle safety course. I signed up that spring and over a long weekend we drove non stop on little Suzuki 125 dirt bikes…if I recall correctly. Great skills and information learned. I even got a slight reduction on insurance from taking the course. He will enjoy it. Good luck to him, Mark
