  1. Yes I took the fuel line off at the carbs and got fuel flow.
  2. I have an 86 that I just bought and it will not start. It has to be a fuel issue, it will start with starting fluid or a little gas poured in the carbs. The fuel pump is working and gas is getting to the carbs (line from pump removed key turned on). It has started once and ran for about a minute, really smooth, and quit. Is there something that would cause the fuel pump to stop or just dirty carbs? BTW did swap in a known good pump and same story.
  3. My class has an e-1 error. When the key is turned to acc there is no sound from the system. I used another none good panel with the same results. Any ideas where to start or any known issues that cause this code?
  4. If I counted right we have 7 so far. Any one else need one?
  5. Add me to the list 89 VR. I was getting ready to order one directly, your deal is better.
  6. Sorry to hear that. I was trying to get on the road within the next 2-3 weeks. I just got the bike and haven't ridden in a while and wanted to get in some riding in before I attempt Daytona in March.

  9. The bike is an 89. I just bought and it does run bad at idle and under light throttle. When I ride it is very sluggish at low engine speed as the rpms rise response and power greatly increase. The tach only goes to 1000 after about 10 minutes of ridding, but never any higher. When I shut it down it drops back to zero. I have removed the tach and it moves freely no binding at all. Is there an easy way to check the TCI, also where is it mounted? Thanks again
  10. The doesn't work. If the bike runs a while the tach moves to about 1000 RPMs, but doesn't respond with engine speed changes. I have removed the gauge and it moves freely. Any thoughts.
  11. First thing I thought was "The Flintstones".
