  2. Fixed mine by cleaning the pickup coil and ring that triggers the speedo signal located down at the front of the rearend were the drive shaft connects. Had a lot of road grime down there that was blocking the pickup coil from a good signal. Speedo jumped around a lot less and cruise locks on like it should. this trigger is sealed on a 2 wheel but is out in the open on a trike

    1989 Venture with sidecar
  20. Southern Mn 55deg 50 more miles on the sidecar 89venture today no salt yet
  21. Just rebuilt a set of 1989 carbs that had all 4 carb vents tied together then to a smog controll and then to a tee that tied the tank vent and the canister together after all was reinstalled the bike would load up when sitting {not running} so I removed the line from the tee to the canister and extended that line off the tee below the bike to vent as all other ventures do and no more flooding when first engine is shut down still good after 1000mi so I do not think you will hurt anything but someones feelings with the Cal EPA {I could vent on this also}
  22. Got 14000mi on the set that were on the bike when I bought it I put 13000 of the mi on them--- some 2 up and always 5 over speed limit on gps
