can't help you on the trike kit but in craigslist mpls there is a 2009 low mile trike with trailer that is listed by brother in law in K.C. MO

Last sat. when we meet I ran I 90 to Elroy at 70mph got 40.000 then to your place and home 41.something I am always 40 and above unless I am over 70mph 45mpg is on a real good 2up slower ride day on back roads just sinc my carbs so look out now

Your #2 is the answer so that nothing else but gas aproved hardware gets hooked to it, most regulators, guages, ect that are for the gas world will have left hand threads

In mn all of the trailers I own under 3000# have a sticker that goes on the tongue of the trailer left side when sitting on bike
