  1. I left home (Central Alabama) last month and rode down there. Took 5 days and rode 1866 miles. The Keys are really nice and the water is the perfect color. That Windows island picture could have been taken there. If you find yourself in Key West for the sunset, go to Mallory Square and see the street performers. Most are pretty neat and the sunset is more than words can describe. While standing there watching the sunset, I turned around and it felt kinda weird to see about 150 people standing there with me doing nothing but watching the sunset.
  2. Where around B'ham do you live? Maybe we could get together and ride sometime. Might be interested in getting some patches made also.

  3. Maybe these links will help. The LED is the diode and the resistor limits the amount of power going into the circuit. Try these and see if they help: http://www.theledlight.com/ledcircuits.html This one has the calculator at the bottom of the page: http://www.rc-cam.com/led_info.htm Good Luck!
  4. That is a neat area. It is very clean and well kept. The old landing strip and worker houses are from days gone by.
  5. The horn on the right side of my 2000 RSV is not working. I checked the voltage and it shows to be around 9.6 volts, when the horn button is pressed and 0 when not. Should it be 12 or greater? Is there a relay that could be going bad?
  6. I was at the airshow today and it was a terrible storm to be caught out in an open field. It got very cold during the blowing rain in a way I have never felt before. The storm only lasted about 15 minutes and then the clouds broke up and it looked like a fair weather day. The emergency vehicle sirens were going everywhere. About 10 minutes after the storm they announced that the show was cancelled due to injuries. I got home about two hours later and checked the news on www.al.com and saw where the child had died. I had my 6 and 5 year old boys there and it hit home. Hug your kids! I did.
  7. That's kinda what I was thinking. Naturally, his feet are on top of the saddlebags right now when seated.
  8. My six year old son is wanting to ride with me on the 2000 RSV and his legs are not long enough for his feet to reach the floorboards yet. Does anyone know of a bracket to make the floorboards raise up to the saddlebag lids?
  9. I used to ride at work and had a cheap helmet for doing the parades when it was HOT! It was a plain white 1/2 helmet that I took to a stripe shop and had them cut the black to the size and shape that fit the helmet. All total was about $50. Jay Birmingham, AL
  10. I ordered some tires from americanmototire.com and probably need to change the valves also. Are the valve stems universal? I want to use the 90 degree type.
