Could have sworn I saw that bike last year @ Wheels through Time in Maggie. Those 60-70 style choppers were all the rage, but most were terrible to ride. I never rode one I'm going off what a couple of guys I knew in them days told me. That is definitely a history piece, kind of like the Steve Mcqueen bike from great escape.

Since reading this the other night I thought about several things. And as was mentioned some either have it or dont care to. But now the Gas Card or a Visa,Mastercard or simular type card might be a good idea. Then they could use it for gas or lodging of their choice, a trip or whatever. From experience one thing to watch is an expiration date on the cards or a fee to "turn them on" Or you could give them lifetime membership here.

Glad to hear they are working out. Also you have to remember the headsets you replaced were old. Newer tech has come out and been rolled into the ones you bought. Less impedance and better mics all make for a upgrade to the product you had.

Down here in the Fla area we have a real problem with what is referred to as "love bugs" Now as the story goes this major university in Gainesville created these things to eat mosquito larvae. but because they are a laboratory bug nothing eats them. So their only enemy is a car, truck etc. They come and go in like 2 week cycles in the fall and spring and move in sort of a wave from one end of the state to the other. The best thing I have found to get them off your car, bike whatever is a bucket of water and a bounce sheet. I'm sure it would work for other bugs also. I sure wish we could ship some of these up to Wisconsin to help with their skeeter control.

I have rode some nice stuff in Northern Kentucky and western WV. RoadRuner Mag did a couple of rides I can get the GPS stuff that went around Mich and one that was Ohio River Valley Had some nice points of interest. Heres a Detroit to over by Toronto. Wheeling West Virginia area. I have done some of the Bonzi tours like that. Ride 12 hr a day to get there and have some much crammed into the day its not relaxing, only to know you have to ride like the dickens to get back home.

Kirby, if they are looking into watercraft, I sure hope they do a better job that they did with snowmobiles.

Does Tony have attitude yea. Did the kid? Probably and thats why he thought he would get out and "give a piece of his mind" or something like that. Sprint cars are a different animal and turn nothing like your street car. Throttle must be used to make them turn as both rear wheels drive and have no slip, thus the larger tire on one side. I agree with the fellow posting some of the general rules of racing. I was told from the time I started racing short tracks dont get out of the car if disabled unless its an emergency. You are better off if someone else looses control to be strapped in. Here's another thought the car in front of Tony's had to swerve at the last moment to miss him, so possibly Tony did even see him until way past the point of no return. Vision is limited out the right side of these cars by the wing. (see attached pic) If the family brings a civil suit (which I bet they do because I mean its Tony Stewart and he is loaded right) That opens a whole new can of worms for short track racing. So now a gy get his car wrecked on a Sat night and takes the guy that wrecked him to court monday to fix and repair his race car? Come on folks. Tony went to these tracks because he enjoyed it and had fun.Plus it helped the small time track owners ull a few more folks in the gate to watch and helped the guy pay the bills. Now thats all going out the window. Sorry for carrying on. But I have signed many a pit release form in my day, and I basically new the rules going in. Its a dangerous place not a playground. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--jSIv-9T5--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/czhwmyu6vugbqv5vcgel.png

Possibly anyone have a used piece they would offer up? I mean your selling the bike and I understand not wanting to pass on a lemon. But a good salvage piece if got right price wise may be the ticket.

Heres a pic Ahribi just posted about getting out to ride. And I noticed he had the same bag. You might ask him what he did. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/Motorcycle/P9147086r.jpg~original

LOL yea kind of. If bike was white it would probably work better. I was thinking about hooking up the headlight modulator to the passing lights, but some how thats probably not a good idea, huh?

:rotf: I like that one. Reminds me of the "Officer, I'm not speeding I'm qualifying" -
Sounds kind of like my "new tire" question I threw out to some folks the other day. In a short answer, if you had to get it going for say a few months (say end of this riding season) I would say go for it. But as Jeff said I dont think I would trust it indefinitely as a permanent fix.

Yup have seen the decals before. I have thought about those, just have not found the right style for me yet. Not in to skulls/daggers and the tribal thing has been over done. So just not found anything. Like I said in OP mine was sort of scratched up so I didnt think I had anything but $10 or whatever I got in paint. I like it. If I rie of in in a few months, it peels off like a bad sunburn. Have seen you tubes where guys have painted wheels on bikes and cars with the stuff because they dont want to spend the big bucks for powdercoating. So its an option hen the wheels get dinged up.

So maybe they meant half a 1955 vette engine.

Was looking around at helmets a month or so ago. I like my shorty for the summer months down here in Fla. but how come no one makes a Hi-Vis shorty? Do they figure because someone goes with minimal coverage they don't care about safety? So my son has been experimenting with this plasti-dip paint stuff. You can pain something and if you dont like it peel it of and start over. Well my Scorpion shorty is the flat matte finish and has been scratched up a bit. So I got the idea for a few bucks, lets see what it looks like.

Nice looking bike. but at $30K for a "sport touring" type bike I think its going to be a really up hill battle. The deluxe model I think they said is over $36K Seriously I can buy a car for less that probably gets the same milage. The Victory I would like to have is around $18K and I cant justify that.

My bro-in Law had a Kawasaki that ran like a bat outa h___ on. 3 Cyl, but thats all it had. LOL Actually I would have voted for bad gas. -
Recently my back has come up with some bad discs. I have worn a back brace on the bike before, but it is long ago lost. So did some reading up on different things available. I have the Utopia backrest, but still I find myself slouching. I looked at kidney belts from FOX, Alpinstars and some others. One of the most interesting posts I read talked about a Back-A-Line brace. Had a couple references to Web Bke World write up and a touring bike mag. Whats you alls experience and thoughts? These braces run $45-50 Kidney belts are all over the place $25 to $100+ I will say the $25 one looks almost like the elastic and velcro back brace from Wally world.

I sent the link for most of the elbows and stuff. It was pretty straight forward. Mine came with a Ford type carb fuel filter the screwed in, which I don't think the facett will. But other than that once you get the other out you'll see its pretty easy.

Well he won $100 he could have bought ice cream next time around.

I had a Master Sgt I worked for in the USAF. He was coming back from leave and had a big ole Ford Galaxy or something. the fuel pump quite on him in the middle of the night. So he rigs up the gas tank to pressurize off a hose and blows in it to get the gas up to carb. Starts car and drives, sticking the hose out the window so the air rushing by goes in the hose. So as long as the car is moving it has pressure in tank. LOL I thought the guy was a freakin genius.

When I was in USAF we had an airplane get a hole in a wing from a rabbit. Now you may ask how does a rabbit jump that high. Best w could figure was an eagle or something had his dinner in his claws, and the airplane scared him and he dropped it. So I'm thinking some bird had his meal and your radio scared him and he dropped his vittles.
