  1. Thank you all for the kind words. I just bought a 2015 Road Glide Special.
  2. It was in 2005 while on my second tour in Iraq that I decided if I made it out of here alive I will get myself a motorcycle but, which one. I new then I wanted a bagger but which one. The obvious choice was a harley but every had one. Or at least everyone I new back home. It was then with limited access to the internet I saw an article in Cycle magazine. It was on the 2005 Royal Star tour Deluxe. It was at that point I told myself, I had to have that bike. Well, after 15 months in the sand box losing comrades in arms and multiple fire fights I hope no one else has to deal with. I came home and within 5 months I had my Royal Star. The next 14 years were great, no issues with the girl except tire changes, oil changes, carb rebuild (thanks to a third deployment) and a new clutch, thanks free bird My girl never skipped a beat and after 72,000 it was time for a change. just wanted to thank everyone for the great info over the years! 3pettz P.S. If anyone is looking for OEM pipes for there 05 RSTD. I have a set, I'll keep the post open for a month or so. again thanks to all! P.S.S. It's Royal Star Tour Deluxe at the title not Just Roy,
  3. Looks good, notice you have 4-2-4 pipes did you remove the baffles? If so how hard was it?
  4. George how long ago did you order yours? The rear fender rack was an accessory I like the look for a single seater.
  5. Has anyone to this date found a rear fender rack that will work on a RSTD 05' and up. The one for the V Star 1100 seams to be a close match, but I just don't know! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Just installed Sky Doc's clutch upgrade kit. It was straight forward with no issues. Had to buy a torque wrench from sears . I was able to get the wire off without cutting it and installed the extra clutch plate. Went for a quick ride to top off and wow! Feel the power! Thanks Sky doc!
  7. Attached you will find the pics I promised. Sorry it took so long! The first is of the location which is under the seat. Next to the unit is the relay that need to be installed next to it to power the unit. The second pic is of the switch on the right handle bar. the top button activates my highway lights the bottom for the flashers. If you decide to follow this configuration i will add the info if requested. Just give me some time to get my notes together...sorry about the lack of pics, I'm not sure what happen. Ill text them to you and try again to post later.
  8. I installed the KRISS Ind. four ways on my 05 RSTD. Installation was stright foward and I also used a chrome handle bar switch ( 2 push bottons) to turn them on and off. The secod switch is for my highway lights. Ill post some photos if you like, just let me know. Here is the link to KRISS Ind. http://www.kriss.com/
  9. I have an 05 and she's the best...I just installed perilli's, will see how long they last!
