My thoughts, have you checked the fuel filter? Another thing that is kind of a shot in the dark, check the fuel supply lines. Make sure they are not soft and colapsing .

If you are lowering the forks, I turned mine outward for a little better access. -
I would beg to differ on the realestate allways going up. Atleast not around here. It is very slooowly creeping up. But anything bought say 2009,10 you still are behind the curve by about 20%. Usually it was a good investment, but after all the "flipping" that went on for quick cash you have to look it over and know your stuff. Guys knocked out walls and rewired stuff and didnt have a clue about load bearing or circuits.

I hear the got these here machines you put dollars in and pull a handle and they hold on to it for you. Every once in a blue moon they give you some back. Sorry I am about as bad off. I got some coins in 401k which of course is market driven. Annuities a few of them some how gaurentee returns maybe check with one of them guys.

3/4 & J&M I have no idea performance or whatever. Its not the big dollar one I know that. I have the mink foam touching or near touching my lips.

Some where I think we are missing what I am trying to do. I currently have the OEM 5 pin stuff. I have connections so I can listen to my phone via 3.5mm hook up or GPS same way. I would like for the wife to be able to listen to what she wants and I can listen to something completely different and still have comm. So I think the smh10 or 10r would probably do what I want. The smh5 gets poor marks on the mounting and connections etc.

That front fender looks like it would be a big ole water catcher. I cant imagine how much water would pack up in the thing with the frog chokers we have had down here lately.

Get a can of Seafoam or Berrymans B12. About 1 oz per gallon. It is a fuel system carb cleaner and if there happens to be some crud it will hopefully dissolve it and clean the junk out. Best case is your lugging it, worst case maybe a fuel pump. But I would think the fuel pump would be more evident on hard acceleration when fuel demand is high.

Mine has been in for shoot like 2yr or more. I have never had a problem with excess fuel running to carbs whit the bike off. I do not close off the petcock when parking. Maybe I have just been lucky, or ....... There shouldn't be any pressure building up in the tank to force the fuel towards the carbs anyways as the tank is vented. If I could find my old pump I would investigate weather or not it has a check valve in it, I suspect not. So long story short I dont close the petcock off and have not had a problem with flooding. -
So what pray tell controls the voice volume over the phone so someone can hear you. When I try to use it and the bike is moving all she says she can hear is woosh, so I'm guessing background noise. I have looked for setting in garmin (765) dont see anything. I have the phone volume cranked up so I can hear music anyways so wouldnt think thats it. Does the IC volume control voice for the BT use of phone?

I cut the plug off the old and soldered it to the new pump.

Where do I go from here??

OK Yea if you can do some pics and some measurements maybe we can help someone out down the road. So whats the dealer going to let you have one for? -
I will say, the 230 I am running now is not going to get near the milage I got out of the MC2. Right now I think its about 8k or so and can probably get another 1000 out of it or so. Just running it out until I need to change.

My thought on this kind of thing is why? XP worked great, 7 not so bad and 8 was a flop. ME sucked so they are pretty hit and miss. And they completely make you change because after they come out with the next big thing they stop any support for something tried and true. It would be like, GM making a car for 3 years and then nobody can work on it because the DRB cant read anything. Besides it takes us more advanced guys longer to figure things out and get comfortable with an OS. And not everybody want to use a dang tablet or phone to read e-mails, surf the net and word process etc. SO all the touch based stuff just dont seem to work on a "dual" type thing they are trying to force.

I saw a pic somewhere along the way a fellow had taken off the eyebrows and added some strip LED lights. Looked super sharp actually. Better visibility in daylight and kind of cool on the night shot he had too. -

I think I gave you the number. I did some research one night and that was a cross number I picked up from a first gen replacement though. So the guy at NAPA couldn't help you out? Geez, when I worked in a "real" prts house our books had listing in the back you could look up diameter, height etc and then it would show you a part # OR the old tried and true....... What have we got in this box Rocky? So being you got the donar stat give us some dimensions and maybe we can looks ome stuff up. Worse case, if you had a flat piece of alum, could you build a filler washer /spacer to use the 156 stat? AH HA I found it !!!!!!!http://www.stant.com/files/9314/0979/5335/2012_Passenger_Light_Truck_Catalog.pdf Look here starting page 288 -
I had the Michelin Commander 2 in the 130 front. Rant them over 17k. Loved them. First day I took the bike for a ride with the OEM size 230 Shinkos on it was like relearning to ride this thing all over again. It seemed really lazy trying to get into a round about and turning out onto the highway from the subdivision. Turning into like a street or parking lot to the right on more of a 90 degree wasn't a big deal. But by the 30 mph or so gradual corner was a shock how lazy truning in the 150 was.

OK so this leaves me out for now. LOL Got a question for you though. If I make an adapter to plug in the 5 pin say in the back for the wife so it would play music from her phone I'm thinking it would also play up to mine, which is what I dont want. Trying to figure out how to allow her to play music from her phone and not transmit thru entire system. A diode inline maybe??

Keep us updated on how it goes. Might as well replace the fuel filter while your in there. -
Well you have to kind of remember the parts for the 2nd gen RSV have been out of production for probably 4 or 5 years now even thought the last "new" one was sold as a 2013, I would bet anything after say 2010 was built with existing stock of parts. If the lowers and fairing etc were made of fiberglass they sure would be a lot easier to repair. They are kind of like Corvette parts if someone has them and you want them.......... Because a fender off a malibu aint gonna work.
-
I think possibly that is because most motels are closer to well traveled roads and intersections. Where as camp grounds typically try to stay away from towns. I would like to make plans of some sort, but current work conditions don not allow. Maybe in the future.
