  6. Have to watch out for those Warrants Unless he was a carrier or Nuke cruiser sailor. Make sure you get one that you can see in the daylight, I made that mistake.
  7. Could be your Regulator Rectifier, Stator or the connectors at the R/R or one under the battery box going to the stator. The R/R is just below and behind the radiator. You can find a good T/S procedure here: https://venturers.org/Tech_Library/index.php?action=article&cat_id=002007&id=400
  8. That is a loaded question, if you have never done it before it can take all winter. If it is a first gen case, you may have an issue with parts. It may be quicker and cheaper to get a parts bike or look at pinwall on e-bay.
  9. Remove the Seat Remove the gas tank Remove the spark plug wires. Blow out the space around the plugs to avoid any debris getting into plug holes. Use a 18mm deep well spark plug socket and extension, remove the old plugs. Inspect the old plugs for any signs of improper wear. Gap and Install new plugs, tighten plugs to 13 ft-lb. Push plug wires on firmly. You should feel a snap when they are on all the way. 16. Made it home, we had great time riding and getting to see everyone.
  17. Most of all I hate to hear about your health, hopefully you can get some relief. Don, it just seems like yesterday you were mentoring folks on newsgroups and bringing riders together from around the world with the current fad at the time, I think it was called the WorldWideWeb :). I wonder how many people you have impacted over the years, been almost a quarter of a century since I got my first advice from you. Hate to see you give up the site, but you need to think of yourself first for a change. Hopefully someone smarter than me will step up and take charge and carry on this great group, even if the website goes dark, I don't believe the comradery and friendships you fostered will ever go away.
  18. I guess that means I need to go out and buy oil.
  19. That poor of a mileage I would look for a leak as well, if the PO put in an aftermarket fuel pump it may be leaking by. These are based on personal experience only.
  20. I am late in doing this, but where is everyone staying? Vogel 2023.pdf
  21. We are packed, but you know I will unpack and repack 3 more times.
