  1. I'll be installing a champion sidecar on my 2005 RSV next week. It looks like it should be a nice match for the bike.
  2. Pm'ed you, I am only about 30 min'. drive from Flowery Branch. Might have to take a ride there and see them. ( just need a name and # if you have it.) Thanks
  3. Rooster PM me if you get a chance (I have some questions !!)
  4. Thats right I only saw him once but the rig looked good. Maybe he can tell me where he got the mounting Hardwear. I can make it but it would be nice to not have to reinvent the wheel.
  5. Thanks Bill I'll get intouch with him on how he set it up for the frame hookup.
  6. Anyone know someone or has a side car on a 1999 or newer RSV. I got a great deal on a Champion Rig and Looking for info on the hookup for it.
  7. Glad to hear you made it through that one. Heal fast Bro 80 is bad but around here 17 on a cell phone driving and 3 more in the car talking means they have no clue your around on a bike. They are in their own world and I try to stay as far away as I can so both our worlds don't colide. Its getting to be leaf watching season here and everyone fron Atlanta comes up here to see it. I might just quit riding till its over.
  8. Easy-Off Oven Cleaner works great !!. The trick is not to leave it on two long. A guy that has done some pinstrip work for me cleaned up my tank, by removing some feathers that were painted on it. He sprayed it on and let it sit for about 30 sec. then wiped it of followed by a good wipe down with fresh water. He did this 2 or 3 times till it was all off and did not harm the clearcoat.
  9. Yep I did do it again !! Had a 99 and sold it after riding it for 3 years. ( Sold it because of surgery and not sure if I would ride again ) Then got a 97 Royal Star Tour deluxe ( Missed the tunes and the power of the RSV ). Traded it in on a 96 Ultra Classic Harley which I had for 3 years and it served me well but I spent more on repairs on that one bike then of the last 10 I have had. ( This was my First Harley in over 40 years of riding ). Traded it in a few months ago on a 2005 RSV and I can say I'm happy to be back on the Venture. All bikes have some problems from time to time ( so do cars or anything mechanical ) If you like it and fit it then thats all that matters.
  10. Thanks !!!!! I don't mind people knowing where I live ( BUT ) I want to be the one telling them how to get here !!! Thanks for the Heads Up
  11. Very nice looking ride !!! I'm not really one for a Tryke and not sure just how stable they are. I had a Big Red 3 wheeler in the Mtn's of NC when we lived there and you could turn it over in a heart beat if not careful. I'm sure a Tryke would be alot more stable but with the extra speed on the highway I won't want to make a quick turn.
  12. That is the right color code for those parts. I have been painting Grills with that color and it is an exact match.
  13. If you want the PPG color code for the darker half ( lowers ) of the silver -silver gray green for the 99 here is the paint code. You can also take this to almost any auto paint Co. and they can mix it. see attachment ( if it come through )
  14. I have used these type hitches before and if the bike has a Chain or shaft drive remove it. Then try to keep the front of the bike as low as you can when towing . The bike will lean in turns from side to side ( which kind of freeks me out ). Oh if you back up be real careful.
