Hands down, the BFG TA/Radial is the winner. Best in traction and stopping power, also makes the bike corner like it's on railsa Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. Pulled the battery box and cleaned the main fuse/ start solenoid, it was all pretty clean as I did that 2 years ago. I did find 1 broken wire for my trailer light harness so I fixed that. What I found that was causing my no start was the main ground to the engine from the negative battery terminal was loose where it bolts to the engine Cleaned and tightened that and now it starts perfect like it always does On the positive side I now have all the plugs and connections cleaned and greased. Guess it's time to ride
  6. I'd be interested to see what you have to offer. Thanks
  7. New stator last year. My battery is at 13V when it clicks and dims the dash lights. Load tests OK.
  8. Here's the scenario; 300 mile ride last Saturday no problems, bike started and ran fine. Bike sat from Saturday evening till this morning. Rolled it out of the garage, hit the start button and 2 clicks, lights on dash dim when start button is pushed. I jumped the bike and it started right up and I made it to work. Just to be sure, I charged the battery while at work. Leave work bike starts up good, while on my way I notice the radio is turning on & off, I made it home and put side stand down and the bike died, ( NO it wasn't in gear) would not start, the relay / solenoid clicked and the lights went dim. Would not start even with a jump, just clicks and dimming dash lights. The battery load tests as good. Took the battery out of the trike and tried it too, same result as above so I'm guessing it's not a battery issue. My ignition switch has been flaky for a long time. Is it possible the ignition switch is causing this? When I would play with the switch before this problem cropped up it would cut the radio out and with the handle bar at full lock against the key it would kill the bike. I have an Ignition bypass hooked up and still no start. Where should I start trouble shooting this? Anyone have the part number and a seller suggestion for a new ignition switch? The bike is a 2001 RSV.

  11. I'm pretty sure I have a copy of XP on disk, with all the MS service packs. If you still need it I'll try yo dig it up out of the archived software. I also have MS 3.1 if you want to go that route.
  12. Unfortunately my boss added me to the schedule for that Friday due to a co-worker's inability to work . Being a 9 hour ride to get there , timing just won't work for me to get there.. Y'all have fun.
  13. I don't think Yamaha wants to invest in new R&D and will re-badge the new Harley Davidson Ultra Limited as the new Venture!
  14. Zingermans is a Deli that makes some awesome corned beef sandwiches. Everything else is yummy too! I've had many a good meal there.

  17. DJ, you have this on the calendar for June 24th ! I thought you were doing this the same weekend as MD would have been.
  18. On a second thought, I'll take one of those bunks if any are still available save me from dragging the camper along .
  19. DJ, thanks for offering this up. I am tempted, and will probably join you if this happens. I'd be camping on site if it happens. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  20. Smudge pot filled with smoldering tree leafs, pump the smoke under the house. The enzimes in the smoke will help to neutralize the skunk stink. I've used this method to descent my mom's dog. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  22. Wishin it was later in the week. I'm Luther bound this weekend. .
  23. Look at the shift rod that comes off the shifter, you'll see a turnbuckle that adjusts the shifter position.
  24. Just hop on that exmark and get your butt to maintenance day Gary. You've heard it before, "IT AIN'T WHAT YOU RIDE, IT'S THAT YOU RIDE" Best of luck on the job hunt.
  25. I have found that the RSV will tell you when it's time to change the oil. My shifting gets clunky... (is that a word)? Usually thats somewhere between 4500-5500 miles on Rotella T-6
