  1. I bet it tastes really good. I might need to get my passport renewed. It seems like a good share of micro breweries make root beer as well. Maybe we need to have a 'Root Beer Rally' where everyone packs a case of Root Beer along to the rally for a 'tasting' with all the different brands. Hmmm...
  2. A&W is good in bottles, but best on tap when you could find an A&W restaurant / drive in. Frosted mug... yum. Last week I was at Cracker Barrel and brought home a Bundaberg (Australian?) and a Diet Dad's Root Beer. I am hoping to find a great root beer.
  3. I'm pretty sure that there are a few Root Beer aficionados in this group, so I pose the question - What is your favorite Root Beer?? Bottled and where is it available?? On tap and where is it available?? Inquiring minds want to know...
  4. The Show Chrome light bar is beautifully made, but - for those of you who have it - did you use the 62-112T Turn Signal Adapter from Show Chrome or did you do something else for front turn signals?
  5. I got the rear lighting improved. Now on to the front. Has anyone else who has installed the light bar have any words of wisdom for me?
  6. I get it... it drives my wife crazy that I can have the tv going and play a video at the same time. I told her it helps to drown out the hi pitch squeal i hear 24/7.
  7. Ok, so skinnier handles better - even if it it near the same height... right?
  8. I may be wrong (just ask my wife) but isn't part of the reason for converting that it lowers the front end a bit for height challenged riders??
  9. Me too... When it warms up a bit I intend to tackle it.
  10. In reading the different posts regarding tire size vs handling - I have a question... Does going from the 150-/80 -16 to the 130/ 80-16 make a difference in handling because it is skinnier or because it is shorter?? If it is because it is shorter (and lowers the front a smidge), can't it be replaced with a 150/60 or a 150/50 (provided they are available)?? Scott (tooldood) Shaw
  11. I called the Tinnitus Hotline the other day... No one answered - it just keeps ringing.
  12. I have never liked how little lighting the RSV (or most bikes) have from the rear. I picked up a LED light board that acts as tail light, brake light and turn signals to replace the bulb in the housing. I also have a light strip to add to the back lower trunk that is supposed to act the same way. Before I lay under the rear of the bike, can anyone here tell me what to look for in wiring it up? I'm not a total idiot (most days) but am terrible at reading wiring diagrams.
  13. This week I met with RDawson and picked up one of his lift adapter w/ legs. First, he is a great guy and fabricator. Today, I was able to put the lift to use. It is extremely well made and simple to use. Since this was my first time to lift my RSV, it took a bit of gentle persuasion to get the rod thru the second tab on the underside of the bike. Once in, tap it thru and lift away. Bolt on the legs (perfect fit) and lower it onto the legs. It is now sitting rock steady and solidly elevated and ready for service. Thanks Ronnie. My only regret is not getting it sooner.
  14. I should have had the bell last year... '10 RSV
  15. I have a 2010 RSV and I'm not sure what I would ride next... I'd love to try out a Victory Vision - it looks like fun. I've also never ridden a Gold wing, but I might be getting close to being old enough to try.
  16. It is said that canyons and arroyos like this are often the result of water erosion... right Steve @hdhtr ??
  17. I think I still have the pics from Venture West One of a Hdhtr watering the desert... Do you still have the old phone (916 area code)?
  18. I guess I'm late to the RSV party, but does anyone have the Carbon One lift adapter with legs (or the specs to get one made locally)??
  19. Well, I missed it. Thanks Uncledj for the offer to help
  20. I found a front fairing for my 2010 on FB that looks good but the seller has almost no history, so I am hesitant to send $$ to him... Most of you guys I have more faith in though. Anyone who could help me out by inspecting it for me?
  21. I did a search but didn't find anything, so here goes... Has anyone done a wrap on their bike instead of painting it (or re-painting it)?? After my sudden stop in a ditch, I have a small break on my fairing to repair, Once the cracks are fixed, sanding and painting would be next - or is it? I am considering a wrap and was wondering if any one here has taken that step? Please -share some pics and your experiece with it if you have.
  22. I'll get that checked out. Thanks.
