Its supposed to blow past on thurs....but yes, I am watching the weather jic. But living in GA almost all my life I'm used to tropical storms and Hurricanes. The Flood of 94 was fun....when Alberto decided to drench the state for a week or so. Btw, anyone who volunteered to send or deliver supplies here after Alberto, I thank ya. I personally was without running water for 3weeks. I was catching rain water in 5gallon buckets to bathe...dunno many 21 yr olds who'd thought of that or done it.

Ironically, I lived in Rogers and Springdale Ark almost 20yrs ago with my exhusband. Been wanting to go back and remember...and hopefully notrun into the ex.... it's a lovely area and I enjoyed living there....except when I passed by the Tyson processing plant in Bentonville...smell was eeew.

Cool, We wont be on the bike...Mike's concerned abt breaking down that far from home. I think we are staying in Hardeeville. Friend has an RV parked there and offered us the use of it for the weekend. And I'm thrilled...hotel prices jumped from 2weeks ago.

Mike and I will be in Savannah thurs afternoon/evening through Sunday. Other than visiting a couple of museums and going to Tybee Island to swim we havent any other plans. Anyone want to meet up say, Sat? Tricia PS. We wont be taking a bike...

Mike and I will eat a bowl of ice cream @10pm est but I don't think that we can make it from GA to Cali by then. Mike says he hasnt installed a fluxcapicitor on the Venture. Hopefully there will be a turn out tonight.

Mainfuse did blow....all appears as it should be.... I just heard the bike crank below me....yay!

Pictures are worth 1000 words. Anyone feel like taking pics of the main fuse and location? I know Mike checked all the fuses in the block 3 times now to verify them. Mike was really hoping to finally take me on that b-day ride I missed last month.

Tricia here. Updated fuseblock, all fuses tested good while seated, but Mike forgot to pull the fuses and make sure they were seated well. So will do that after dinner.

Yesterday was a busy day...met with my family doc about weightloss counseling and he saw me shake my hand out (my arms get numb if I sit like Im reading a book) so now I get a nerve conduction study done on the 2nd....but like Bob we're safe...just some afternoon thunderstorms yesterday. Depending when I get get scheduled for surgery I may or may not be able to go to Valdosta, unless it's in the car. At this point all I know is pending all the tests it could get scheduled between August and Christmas....yay me, gastric bypass....

I'd happily jump on board with that, that's give or take 2.5 hrs from the house straight down 75. Other than Wild Adventures and one steakhouse we met Tufftom at last yr I really don't know what's in Valdosta...sad I know! But Central Georgia I can give you the grand tour. From historic downtown Macon to Robins AFB I have y'all covered. LOL

Dude, Mike's crazy but not that crazy, he likes his sleep! If we had gone at this point it would have been the car and not the bike. And at this point I have 2 doc appts Monday. And other than the July 4th weekend looks like my schedule is going to get packed this summer. I have to make friends with a bunch more doctors over the summer...yay me...more surgery.

Mike wanted to go, but feels the "mad dash" from our house fri night/sat morning and the turn around trip on Sun was just too much to expect either of us to do, not to mention the Venture needs a new rear tire and the new exhaust collector won't stay in place. Looks like we are going to Savannah on the July 4th weekend instead. Maybe later this summer if another event comes along.

We bought a rebuilt starter from skydoc off a 99 Vmax, check with him and see if he has one in your price range. It works great and fixed the slow start/no start problems we had a month ago.

You are right, and I know that, but I have no idea if I made the trip to the VA hospital in Augusta if he's there, when he will if he hasn't already been discharged, on where his apt is or what other arrangements have been made. I doubt my niece even told him I asked to see him. If I hear something more by Sat I know the hubby will say to go and will probably take me (long trips like that aren't easy on me now. I just know with him being 70 and neither of us getting younger time works against us for now.

My eldest brother, my Bubba, had a stroke on Monday, before and since then he's apparently been having ministrokes that have left him with speech and coordination issues. I'm angry and upset that I had to find out when my niece (who is 18mons older than me) made a post on facebook asking for prayers for him before I was even told what's going on. Admittedly we are not close, a 30 yr age gap didn't allow us to have a relationship, but he's the last of my Dad's family aside from my nieces and nephews. I'm having a really hard time getting told I shouldn't/can't go see him because he's being a class A jerk right now. Class A jerk I can deal with, not seeing him if the worst happens is a heck of a lot harder, pray for him and me, mostly me so I don't go show why getting a redhead pissed off is a bad idea.

Ok, how do I ride to work when the house is grandcentral station, especially lately....
