  7. Just curious...with all the talk of horns, keys, risers, clocks and tires...I was just wondering what are some really great non-essential accessories for you bike. It can be chrome, or just little do-dads on your bike. Wally
  8. OK...just bought the carbon one harness and bracket...now to find the horn. Thanks guys. Wally
  9. Hey Shot (and others)... Where did you get your Stebel Air Horn from/ Also, did you use the wiring harness AND mount that Carbon One offers here on our site (in the classifieds)? Or did you use the wiring harness you can get when you purchase the Stebel directly? Thanks, Wally

  11. Hmmmm, actually I heard they advertised a fight and a hockey game broke out. I'm just sayin'...
  12. Looking for options use on the luggage rack on the trunk for long trips. (Yes, there was a thread about 4 years ago)... I have seen the Cordura Bag by Yamaha made for the trunk, but I can't tell if it is toploaded or side loaded (like a suitcase). Also does anyone have any pictures of their bike LOADED DOWN for trip? Thanks.
  13. Since I have no access to a drill press to drill my risers...I decided to go more low tech. What I did was to go to Autozone and buy some booster coil rubbers. I cut them to size and then used RUBBER EPOXY to glue them into place. The glue holds VERY well and I think this will suit me just fine. Here is a picture of what I did.
  14. OK...here is some pictures of the clock and thermometer that I bought from http://www.clocks4bikes.com. The quality is exceptional and the install extremely easy. I really like the way these mount and balance out the bike.
  15. Like I told the OTHER fella...the Formotion Clock would not work on my bike due to the location of my Zumo. The Clocks4Bikes Clock was a switch housing mount and worked perfectly. Others might have the same problem and I was just pointing out the differences.
  16. OK...got my clock today from http://www.clocks4bikes.com. The quality is outstanding!! It was very easy to install and looks GREAT on my bike...I REALLY like the switch housing mount. In fact, right after I did the install (2 minutes), I came right in and placed another order for the temperature gauge. It will be here in a few days and I'll mount it on the other side. Interestingly, an hour after I placed the order, I get a phone call from the company person/owner (Linda), asking me if I liked the clock since I had also purchased the temperature gauge. I told her I was VERY pleased with the clock and she said, well you ordered the WHITE FACED clock, but you ordered the BLACK FACED temperature gauge. She asked did I want to change it to the WHITE FACED dial to match my clock...NICE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I bought switch house mounted clock and thermometer with the EL backlighted dial when you push a button. The backlight comes on for ONLY 3 seconds which extends the life of the battery in the clock. Again...EXCELLENT CLOCK, EXCELLENT QUALITY and SUPERB SERVICE. And no, they don't know me from Adam, and they don't know that I have even given them a review. Here is the link for the one(s) I bought: http://www.clocks4bikes.com/Switch_Housing_Mount_Clock.html
  17. Just buy a car.
  18. OK...thats what I needed to know...I will probably build mine up now. Wally
  19. Steve, Looks good. But my initial question is why do we even need the bottom portion that you have attached as long as the damper is wedged between the handlebars and the fairing...mine stays VERY snug...is it just to make sure it doesn't slip out during a bump?
  20. OK...that makes me feel better...thanks for the pics and help on this. Wally
  21. SilvrT, OK...your dampers look totally different than what I did...Are the dampers supposed to be wedged between the handlebars and the fairing...I don't see yours against the fairing. Do you have a HEAD ON shot? Thanks Wally
  22. OK, here are some pictures of my install and how the dampers fit between the handlebars and the fairing. Again, I am thinking that the way it is wedged in there...it should be fine and do it's job...it's just that the dampers won't be wedged on both sides. Here are my pics.
  23. I'll shoot some pics of how mine look now too. Thanks SilvrT.
  24. I installed my risers today...pretty nice so far, although I am unable to go out for a spin (due to weather - ice storm). Anyway...regarding the rubber dampers. I got them out...they had them glued (double sided tape) to triple tree and butted up against the fairing...just like everyone said. Once I installed the risers and reinserted the dampers they are no longer touching the triple tree platform...about an inch off of the triple tree. So I was gonna build that section, but to me it looks like the actual pressure point of the dampers is between the handle bars and the fairing itself...the bottom of the damper not contacting the triple tree doesn't matter or am I missing something. Right now the damper is being held VERY FIRMLY between the handlebars and the fairing...isn't that what it is supposed to do? Wally
