best mom& pop cafe/restaurant youve ever been to?
Chaharly replied to jet3279's topic in Watering Hole
Theres a JoDeans in Yankton SD that serves all you can eat crab and shrimp and other kinds of seafood for a really fair price! Being that its in south dakota, I dont know how good the seafood is, but its only about 20 bucks for all you can eat. Not only do they have Crab and Shrimp they usually have something odd like shark, and they also include fresh steaks and fresh roast, rocky mountain oysters and many other delicious food. Just make sure you go on a Friday or Saturday! -
Really sorry to hear that, sometimes these people dont remember that employees are people with bills too!

This was really sad! I saw it first on Yahoo news on facebook and yahoo themselfs were already making joke. They commented on their own post saying "He's Dead Jim"... Maybe I need to get a sense of humor, but i felt like it was a little uncalled for...

Ahhh god that makes me sick. During a time where morality from the people for the police department is down, stuff like this is only going to raise people's disgust for our boys in blue. And with police officers like this, I understand why support for our Nation's police officers is down...

Just wanted to add to everyones kind words here Freebird (I will only use people's names after I've met them) that these things are EXACTLY why I have NO PROBLEM paying my 12 dollars a year to be a member of my family on this site!. I'm probably one of the worst when it comes to posting things in the wrong spots here and the stuff you and the other moderators go through to keep this site running on all four (or two for you Snarley guys) cylinders amazes me. Keep up the good work and remember that EVERY boss can get a little irritated with his crew every now and again!!!

I've never had the pleasure of riding an actual CB anything. The closest thing I can compare it to was my 77 kz650 and I always thought that bike with its banana seat was a pretty cozy ride -

I sat on one of those the other day. Its a throwback, but they definitely dont want you do any touring on it as it is NOT a comfy bike! -

So I was looking over some advertisements on google images and followed a link that brought me back here. It was BlueSkys post about his "like new 89 venture" that he found! Thought that was pretty neat especially since he's still a member. Hows it going bluesky!? Still have that bike?

I've been on the fence about whether I should get my concealed carry permit or not. The main reason I haven't done so yet is because If I'm riding i usually dont like to research which state has or doesnt have concealed carry laws. I would hate to get picked up and arrested for wandering into the wrong state with my handgun. If it was legal in every state to carry, you bet I would, but I REALLY would hate to get picked up on a technicality for just trying to protect myself. As far as open carrying goes, I'd probably just keep it concealed. Like coach Klein says on The Waterboy; What mama dont know wont hurt her!

How did you get Hooked - Picture of your first motorcycle?
Chaharly replied to VanRiver's topic in Watering Hole
I remember being born with my very first bike. My older brother was about 7 when I was born and dad had an 81 Yamaha 80cc enduro that he had learned to ride on. When I was finally old enough to touch the ground, that bike became mine. Dad used to set up ramps for my brother and take him out alot, but by the time I was old enough to ride dad was 46 and the cop in town. That meant that my riding mostly involved figure 8s and big fast circles in our back yard. We had that bike all the way up until a month ago when my brother sold it for 500. I dont have a picture of it right now, but I can find one of my brother and I on our dirt bikes later. Heres a picture of one like it. But in alot better shape! After I got closer to riding age (14) dad and I found a really sweet Kawasaki KZ650 that I fell in love with. It was a hell of a lot different than riding that 80CC yamaha all those years. I rode that bike to the new hampton IA rally once and I just generally rode that bike all over. I got my motorcycle learners permit when I was 15 so I did alot of goldwing following on that bike! I really thought that this was about the perfect motorcycle. Plenty of power, light enough to man handle and I still think its one of the sexiest bikes on the street. It started having engine problems so I eventually sold it too
