  1. I modified my exhaust by drilling 1/2" holes in the baffle plates and am very happy with the result. The advantage is that if your local police/authorities deem your exhaust too loud, you can use stainless steel buttons to plug them up again. There is a "how to" on the "other" Venture web site which I used. http://www.venturers.org/Tech_Library/index.php?action=article&cat_id=002009&id=193 Good luck
  2. Well done. You & your beloved will have a great time wit the RSV
  3. I've had my '99 RSV for over 3 years and love her. She's everything I wanted in a motorcycle AND, she looks great. Would I buy one again? You betcha, in a heartbeat.
  4. I am 102 Kilograms (224lbs) and my wife is 75 kilograms (165lbs). We tow a trailer on long trips and have our panniers & top box full. The bike still has its original shock absorber, there is 38 psi in the front tyre and 41 psi in the rear. 30 psi in the rear shock and none in the front. There is 72000 kilometres (44640 miles) on the clock. The bike handles beautifully and I have not had a single problem with the weight on the bike. My weight problem is another issue
  5. It took me 2 days to bleed my clutch and had the same frustations. After ensuring there was plenty of fluid in the reservoir, I pumped the handle many times and left it open overnight. The next day, the same routine but those accursed bubbles kept on coming. I tied the clutch lever down for the second night and pumped again the following morning when finally it started coming good. I don't know if it was a very narrow fluid line opening or anything else, but persistance played a major part. Be patient, be prepared for a lot of pumping and you will be rewarded. Good luck.
  6. Re the colour. Only those with style, flair, pizzaz and the cool factor appreciate the magenta colour....like me
