  1. @cimmer no problem, should have had wife hold bulb so I could have taken a better picture. Still waiting for dealer to call! Yes the rubber around bulb is a pain! took me a bit to remove, now it is a real pain to get lined up to get bulb back in,I don't think the old bulb is quite in right but still works on signal. Will worry about it when I get new bulb then will make sure it goes in rite! Hard to tell when pins are lined up!
  2. Like the pictures!!
  3. Congrats! Nice bike!
  4. Congrats on the new vehicle! Hope no prob;ems!
  5. @cimmer sorry pictures didn't show properly as I have tried Canadian Tire but they are not standard 1157 bulbs! 1157 bulb only have 2 pins on opposite sides while Yamaha bulb has 3 pins around with 1 slightly off to lock bulb in base of holder. Tried other jobers and same, told me it's a dealer part!
  6. Tried bulb dealer sold me(2 ears) but when I finally got old bulb out it wasn't the same (told him it probably has 3 ears that hold it in)like I told him. Went back to return it and order the right one and girl says "that's a different price!" So I asked how much? $17can with tax!! Should be in next week!
  7. Was out for ride last night and when pulling up to store front windows noticed left turn/marker light wasn't working. Turn signal did work so when I got home I tried to get bulb out but not enough strength in fingers to push up and turn bulb to get out! Going to get son to get it out for me. Went to dealer and there were 2 part numbers ( which I think it was for either clear or orange bulb)they had clear Yamaha bulb at $8.50 +taxcan but no orange. They had an aftermarket orange they said would work so I bought it for $4can+tax. Will change when he gets here! Probably don't need to change as passing lights would be enough to show width of bike but I like to have things working!
  8. Went for a couple 200klm rides recently! one was Friday the 13th that I took to Port Dover Ontario Canada which they estimated over 75,000 people and bikes!(not sure how many but it sure looked about right) The other was this past Friday that I went to a Motor cycle parts and accessory store then another bike recycle and finally Princes Auto where I spent around $150 on stuff I needed for the coming winter!
  9. Thanks for the responses! Didn't think it would ever happen!!
  10. Finally a Grandfather!!!
  11. Yes hope everyone stays safe!!
  12. I also have noticed less posts! I try to get out and ride as much as I can! Phantom keeps worrying when I do because of all the bike riders crashing and dyeing around the area we live!. Not many details on most, cagers mostly(probably turning in front of or sideswiping as not paying attention) She does know I drive as best as I can and also doesn't trust others( I also don't trust others so ALWAYS keeping alert to what is going around me!!!!)
  13. Thanks for reply!
  14. Out yesterday after hooking up a remote power and voltage meter to check voltage while riding. Highest voltage went was 13.5v and staid there even after parking bike. Checked this morning and was 12.8. Am going to change over to battery I bought from @ReinyRooster and see if it changes.
  15. @N3FOL Same kind of weather here in Ontario Canada(seems worse than the last few years) way too hot(even fairly warm after supper) or way too much rain(good for farmers tho! Phantom doesn't like me ridding in rain---says I'm not as young as I used to be and she worries!) Was out Wednesday for a 125klm round trip then that night. Also out yesterday and probably today! Have to enjoy it when we can! Last 4 years after retiring not as much riding as I had hoped but making the best of what time I do ride!
  16. Sorry to hear this! Condolences to his family!

Thanks to Reni for adding me into a few pictures! Was a good turn out (yeh could have been a few more bikes and people but we do the best we can) good food and conversation!
  18. Another good day for a ride. Went to Kitchener today to pick up spare battery @ReinyRooster had to help me out . Was going to go and have a coffee with him but his hunny-do-list(we all have them!)(I got most of mine done so I had time to go for a ride before finishing them) kind of put a damper on it(not that I didn't want to get him in trouble but we had a good conversation for a few minutes anyway! Lots of idiot drivers out there! He said he is going to try and make it for a couple of hours on Saturday to catch up on old times!!
  19. Charged up battery after it died last week and got it tested and said it was OK so put back in. Then this week drained(by bleeding) old clutch fluid and rear brakes. Rode for a couple days then had son help bleed front left caliper(too hard to reach by myself) on my bike lift I bought a few years ago. Couldn't turn handle bars to level out master cylinder on bike table because of wheel chock clamp. Was having a slight extra pull to handle bars stopping which caused a slight imbalance. Back brakes seemed not to grip as well so ended up re-bleeding clutch, front brakes and back brakes, now everything seems a lot better(pads all around were good) Phantom wanted me to pick up her prescriptions so I told her I had to take bike for a test run, showed up over an hour latter to -----where were you----- told her couldn't just go there and back(as we all know). Then today our hydro was out from 7am to 1pm for infrastructure(new lines buried) so she told me to go for a ride and pick up her cigarettes(Reserve) Heavy drops leaving town, got to 1/4klm from destination and started to rain. Waited on picnic table 15min then got on and rode 20klm to next destination(Princess Auto) where I picked up a few things. Was going to meet Marcarl but clouds were really black that way so drove North to bypass and made it to a restaurant when it started to downpour. Stopped and had lunch then went out to put rain-suit on. After putting on had a light drizzle then NOTHING the rest of the way home(as usual) Probably going 50klm to meet up with @ReinyRoosterand @XV1100SE Wednesday or Thursday!
  20. Wished I could have been able to make it but weather and other circumstances have stopped me. Hope the one's who make the trip have a GREAT TIME!!!
  21. I think I have one and will check to make sure!!
  22. Took batteries in to check them at battery vendor and he said mine from bike was OK but a little low(was12.8 night before and 12.2 when I took in) Only 3 years old! Checked other one which is over 13yr old(I use it to run my lawn tractors to plow snow) and it was a little low also. Bought new charger that charges(trickle) regular 6/12v ,regular(acid wet),AGM etc and charged them both over night and seems to have taken charge so will monitor over next few days.
  23. Just got back from battery shop and there tester didn't say bad it was just low. 12.2v, it was 12.8 last night. He said to put on trickle charger again for 12 to 24hr then should be OK! Battery only 3yr old by receipt. Was trickle charging with a Battery Tender but they never went to green showing full charge so I went and bought a new one by Master Craft that does 6v-12v Normal battery acid(wet),AGM and No Maintenance . Will try this for now. @ReinyRooster what were you thinking price wise in-case this doesn't work?
  24. Thanks for the heads up!!!
