Charged up battery after it died last week and got it tested and said it was OK so put back in. Then this week drained(by bleeding) old clutch fluid and rear brakes. Rode for a couple days then had son help bleed front left caliper(too hard to reach by myself) on my bike lift I bought a few years ago. Couldn't turn handle bars to level out master cylinder on bike table because of wheel chock clamp. Was having a slight extra pull to handle bars stopping which caused a slight imbalance. Back brakes seemed not to grip as well so ended up re-bleeding clutch,front brakes and back brakes, now everything seems a lot better(pads all around were good) Phantom wanted me to pick up her prescriptions so I told her I had to take bike for a test run,showed up over an hour latter to -----where were you----- told her couldn't just go there and back(as we all know). Then today our hydro was out from 7am to 1pm for infrastructure(new lines buried) so she told me to go for a ride and pick up her cigarettes(Reserve) Heavy drops leaving town,got to 1/4klm from destination and started to rain. Waited on picnic table 15min then got on and rode 20klm to next destination(Princess Auto) where I picked up a few things. Was going to meet Marcarl but clouds were really black that way so drove North to bypass and made it to a restaurant when it started to downpour. Stopped and had lunch then went out to put rain-suit on. After putting on had a light drizzle then NOTHING the rest of the way home(as usual) Probably going 50klm to meet up with @ReinyRoosterand @XV1100SE Wednesday or Thursday!

Wished I could have been able to make it but weather and other circumstances have stopped me. Hope the one's who make the trip have a GREAT TIME!!!

Took batteries in to check them at battery vendor and he said mine from bike was OK but a little low(was12.8 night before and 12.2 when I took in) Only 3 years old! Checked other one which is over 13yr old(I use it to run my lawn tractors to plow snow) and it was a little low also. Bought new charger that charges(trickle) regular 6/12v ,regular(acid wet),AGM etc and charged them both over night and seems to have taken charge so will monitor over next few days.

Just got back from battery shop and there tester didn't say bad it was just low. 12.2v, it was 12.8 last night. He said to put on trickle charger again for 12 to 24hr then should be OK! Battery only 3yr old by receipt. Was trickle charging with a Battery Tender but they never went to green showing full charge so I went and bought a new one by Master Craft that does 6v-12v Normal battery acid(wet),AGM and No Maintenance . Will try this for now. @ReinyRooster what were you thinking price wise in-case this doesn't work?

@Marcarlwas way away from you.By Tillsonburg! Charged battery and load tested and it said BAD! Will take in tomorrow and double check it!

Put battery on charger and got it ti 12.8volts then used my battery load tester and said it is bad. will take in to battery supplier tomorrow and get them to double check it. It was bought before COVID(maybe 2 years prier,will try and find receipt to verify)

Was a great day yesterday! Went to a few yard sales in morning went home to see wife for her lunch then decided to go for a 5oklm ride to buy some bulk things(raisins,peanut and some sweeteners). Put phone on charge on the way there with no problems. Went into store then decided to go to next city to do some more shopping(had my utility trailer ) and BUZZZZZZ CLICK,CLICK no start!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried a couple times and same thing.Carry a booster with me but that didn't help so asked an older couple that came out if I could get a boost but they said they have no cables, I told them I had a set so he tried . Didn't work!! Didn't want to hold him up by letting his car charge my battery so called CAA! 2 1/2 hrs later a flat bed showed up. Got him to tow bike home as didn't want to take a chance getting boost then have it quit on way home. Said I didn't have coverage to tow trailer so had to leave it locked to picnic table. Positive I made sure I had right coverage to tow trailer also because when I got it I told them I towed a trailer to the U.S. and needed to be able to get trailer to wherever I needed to go.(have to find original papers to check) Ut battery on charger over night and will check out what went on, might have to replace battery! Driver made sure bike was secure and stopped shortly after going 1/4klm to make sure it was secure! Went back to pick trailer up with son's car(after some persuading)(he has no problem borrowing mine)to save gas!

Well got the repaired exhaust Y pipe back on and have gone on a couple rides with and without trailer and my repair seems to be a success!!!! Did a deep clean on bike as I was waiting for muffler cement to cure as it was very filthy from ride to Fort Erie Ontario(200klm one way!) with the road splash going everywhere!

Will be sanding down the excess cement

Found a replacement Y pipe but was almost $300can. Phantom Wife said I've spent enough for now SO I went to Canadian Tire and picked up an adapter piece 4" long and 1 1/2 in Dia. which I was able to tap into original pipe with muffler cement and seems to be very tight and with where pipes are supported it should be OK. Will wait till tomorrow and put it back together to see if it works. If not will pull back off and try to weld. Thanks for your help, will let you know how it goes!

Sorry I left out what I was thinking of writing. I thought I said it was the Y pipe that is rusted off(muffler is OK)just at edge of muffler where it goes into muffler.

Well since getting bike back from shop a couple weeks ago it started to sound funny at the exhaust . It wasn't too bad at first but had bike on repair table trying to find leak I couldn't until now. Was going to go to Brantford but rain and the getting louder noise stopped me from ridding today.When I got home I put bike back up on table and went ahead and pulled off left muffler to find it only hanging on by a piece 1in long. Should have bought whole exhaust from recycle yard in U.S. last time I had to replace back pipe from same problem I had when I had tires,back rotor,head bearings and tires.(right side was rusted off and couldn't be repaired. Am going to look for a replacement pipe around me but will also see if it is repairable as Phantom Wife doesn't want to put in any more money. Was wondering if I took out battery and kept ground close to break would it hurt anything if I tried to Mig weld(don't have one that uses Gas)

Son and girlfriend had their Gender Reveal and barbecue at our house today with friends and both Fathers and Moms. They divulged they will be having a GIRL in September. This is mine and Phantom Wife's(Beverly) first grand child! Looking forward to her arrival!!!

Thanks for replies! yes I knew not to use Silicone but to use Dot4. the one I bought is Prestone Dot 4 Synthetic! Was checking out sluggishness of towing trailer(chugging)so pulled plugs and then things started to snowball into general maintenance procedures, plugs,air filter cleaning(K/N),brake fluid change,deep clean plus a couple broken tabs on lower fairing,etc.....

Went for a ride to swap meet on Sunday(another waste of time,but enjoyed the ride) It was 200klm there and 200klm back. Rain stayed ahead of all the way there .Only had very light drizzle and road mist on the way there.On the way home sky's started turning dark around 35klm from home with a few big drops which I managed to ride out of and stayed dry the rest of the way. Yes I took my trailer incase I bought something!! Had many compliments!!

Bought Dot 4 Synthetic brake fluid but didn't realize until I got home. Can we use it or do I have to take back and get regular Dot 4????

Did well over 200klms today! Went to Paris Ontario for motorcycle swap meet(wasn't worth the trip) then went to London Ontario to pickup a DVD (American Graffiti) I've been trying to get, then Princess Auto for a few things. Hopefully weather holds out and can ride to Fort Erie tomorrow for another swap meet!

Just got out this week with new tires mounted and feels great again. Bike is 2012 Royal Star Venture with just under 125,000klm(77,670mil).
