  4. Ok hot air balloon ride, ride in space, ride the Suez Canal, tour Europe, tell the pope what I think of him, time travel, set a land speed record, and a bazillion other fantasies...
  5. I can sure understand the "busy with other things" angle!! Been doing a complete kitchen remodel myself and it seems I don't have time to pay bills or take a healthy crap...
  6. Seems to me that was about the price several years ago! Copper has gone up astronomically since then so anything under $50 should be a good price...
  7. Uhhhh, my personal record, when I was much much younger was 7... Oh wait, we aren't talking number at the same time, are we?? In that case it's the same as Silver T...
  8. How old is the gas in it?? Takes less than a month for it to turn to liquid s***.
  9. Also, never pick a friend to be your financial adviser...
  10. I'm partial to 5 myself...
  11. Sooo, where's the Studebaker???
  12. Hmmmm, "good" and "financial adviser" in the same sentence...
  13. Dan Dan Dan, don't let anyone else give to someone who you can give to yourself! Yes, I agree many so called charities are shams and scams so be careful to whom you donate! Donate food or money to your local shelter, find someone who is hungry and give them a meal (not money) or donate old clothes to the salvation army, etc. Help someone who is about to be thrown out in the street because there is no jobs and they can't pay the rent. Help someone get a decent education so they can compete in the job market. Show random people that there are still decent and giving people in this world! Simple acts of kindness are more valuable than gold or silver and cost much less!! You will be surprised what just a cup of water in the name of Jesus can do!! My philosophy in life is if you are not making this world a better place to live in then you must be making it worse... To me giving of my time and money rewards me more than money can buy for myself! Of course you could always become a day trader...
  14. Mama, you get into more trouble when you are ON chat!! Mark, it was good to find you in chat last nite, come again! Good crowd last night!
  15. Mine is in the box in my garage. If it ever stops snowing maybe I'll get it in. I agree, the trunk lock is yet another petty aggravation with the Hannigan. I love mine but there is several petty things I'm less than happy with...
  16. Sounds like a reasonable deal. Check the date code on the tires and bring that to their attention. It sat for 3 years and I'm doubting they were replaced just before the PO passed. Most tires are close to a year old already when you buy them. 6 years is the tire manufacturer's recommended maximum age. Also flush the brake and clutch fluids immediately if not sooner. Yes, replace all lines with SS lines at the earliest convenience. Definately pay attention to the rear shock. Consider replacing the front springs. Check the torque on the triple tree bearings. Flush the cooling system. Change the oil immediately. Do all this and besides normal maintenance and you should be ready for miles upon miles of riding enjoyment!
  17. So did you get it out yet Randy??
  18. Last fall we had no issues, but we had a set destination based on how far we expected to get for the day so we booked our room the night before. We tried out a site called booking.com and found some good deals. Of course this was just after Labor day...
  19. Yup! Yet another classic tale of what this Venturerider family is about! Be sure to take the time to put him in for an outstanding member award, he deserves the recognition.
  20. I think Carl may just have something there! In all seriousness here's what to do: Any credit card debt?? Pay it off! Any car loan? Pay it off! Still have a mortgage?? PAY IT OFF!! If you are debt free, then use it to do the Lord's work, it pays the highest dividend of all!
  21. I agree!! We are assuming you are referring to a motorcycle riding jacket...
  22. Holy cow Earl!!! Yup! Hire yourself a good Shyster! There is no way you should pay a penny for this, and you deserve to be comped while repairs are being made! Wishing you the best!!
