  1. I too have been on the receiving side of resumes and I have to agree with the statistics that the average resume gets read for about 6 seconds! General appearance and brevity is what gets it read longer along with relativity to the position. Cover letters are a nice professional touch and should be a brief overview of who you are, what your expertise is, and what your aspirations are. The resume proper should be more specific information on what your cover letter said about you without being waaaaaay too detailed. Somewhere either on the cover letter or resume should be the disclaimer that further information is available on request, which can also be an invitation to an interview. Once the resume makes it past the initial 6 seconds if the candidate seems interesting then it gets read a little longer and perhaps in to the 2nd round pile...
  2. Next thing I would look at is switch contacts on the starter switch...
  3. Hi Noel and welcome! I just thought I'd give you a little extra info on the sensor and how it works. The sensor is to tell you that your battery electrolyte is low and you need to add some. As long as the probe has contact with the electrolyte it will provide a voltage to the CMS (Computerized Monitoring System) on the dash. The voltage is at a logic level voltage, generally around 5 volts or so. This is why the probe goes into the cell that it does, as each cell adds about 2 1/3 volts. Depending on what kind of battery you put in, monitoring the acid level may still be beneficiary. Now most of us switch to an AGM battery which is maintenance free and does not use liquids. If you are still using a lead acid battery you can always drill a hole in the middle battery cap ( 3rd one over from the negative terminal) and position the probe in so that it's tip ends at the low level point. Then you can seal up the probe in the cap and you are all set. Make sure the probe is clean as if the probe has a bunch of crud on it then it will also give you a defect reading. As long as the probe detects voltage the light stays off. This is why the mod is needed to keep the light off. The dropping resistor is needed to bring 12 volts down to around 5 volts. If the logic chip sees 12 volts on the logic line it will short out...
  4. To answer that, depending on what ratio solder it is, it's melting point is below 400 degrees. Tour engineer was probably referring to an actual wave solder machine so you have to account for cooling as the room temperature board passes across the vat...
  5. When did Freebird grow a beard???
  6. Yah! Missed us too but that's OK there is still a couple of feet on the ground to be melted away yet...
  7. You will also have to change out the rotors. The rear brake swap is a bit more involved as you need a MK2 rear caliper bracket and do a bit of McGuivering to mount the bracket on the swing arm...
  8. Fleabay...

  19. My snowblower took a crap today so I had tom invest in a new one to the tune of $1400! Anybody want to help finance it?? My old one runs great but the case that surrounds the tines and impeller has rotted out and now the bottom is disconnected from the sides and it keeps shearing shear bolts! I invested in a Husquarna 30" with a 10HP Briggs and Stratton motor. It's replacing my old MTD. Hard to believe last year at this time it was in the low 80's!! More snow forcasted with temps in the 20's to 30's...
  20. Yah! No big deal! You can just buy me a drink at the next PIP we go to...
  21. Jack, Jack, Jack!! Now look what you started...
