    Yup! As long as it starts and runs fine you should be good to go. My '84 had a little rattle going uphill so I ran 89 unless I was towing a trailer then I ran 91. Never experienced the new 10% ethanol yet...

    Tell her who wears the pants in the family!!! Of course the last time I did that she handed me a pair of her panties and asked me to try them on. I told her there's no way I'm gonna fit into those. To that she told me I was right, there's no way I'm getting into them until my attitude changes...

    OK the only stock TCI available would be a used one, and unfortunately only the '83 box works on an '83. Other years are interchangeable. I would recommend one of the aftermarket setups such as member Dingy has available if you are sure it is the TCI box bad...

    If it is an ignition issue, I would suspect the TCI before I would suspect more than one coil failing at the same time. These engines are quite strong and will still run on 3 cylinders or even 2...

    Another trick for getting the rust scale off is to get a box of galvanized roofing nails and pour them into the tank and shake it up 'till the cows come home...
