Well THAT explains it!!! The bike is setting waaaay too low making it hard to get it on the centerstand as well as off. You should have at least 40 psi in the rear. Maybe you have the dreaded blown shock diaphragm...
PS oiling the center stand will help out a lot.
OK the TCI, Transistor Controlled Ignition, is most likely at fault. The TCI also controls the Tach via the spark to #2 cylinder. Moisture inside the box is the usual reason for failure. Your best bet is to upgrade to a Ignech replacement module which member Dingy programs to the Venture and sells. He makes no money on this, or very little for the time he spends, and is a lot cheaper than a brand new stock one if you can even find one. It is pretty much plug and play but there is a bit of electrical and mechanical work involved. I'm sure he can provide detailed instructions or maybe some member down near you will volunteer to help...
That is where the stator wires plug in to the harness, but that is a good place to check as well. Of course those same 3 wires appear at the R/R connector...
Unless you have already done it, drain the rear end and replace your differential oil. The oil moves like molasses so let it drain overnight at least...
Let us know when you are on the western side of New York state, we'll arrange a M&E!
Lower front fairing, right hand side, mounted upside down, connector on top.
No, I don't think the stators are the same, mound different if I remember right.
R/R should work, just a matter of finding a space to mount it, and wiring it in...
Good morning! Glad you're OK!!!
Yes the crash bars do work!! Damage looks typical for the crash you described, all fixable but I almost guarantee you if you claim it on your insurance they will total it. You will probably find your front fairing frame is a little twisted.
Yes, look at the damage to your helmet and think what it would have done to your head had you not been wearing a helmet! I only wear full face myself!
