  1. Your foot controls and pegs are adjustable forward and backward! The handlebars are articulated to adjust both the width and height at two points for each handlebar. What is your inseam???
  2. Yup! For windshield pouches if it fits a HD it works on a Venture. Check Fleabay, they are in abundance there and generally go for less than $60 new...
  3. I was going to ask if she ever tried a full face helmet. A 3/4 with the face shield tends to trap turbulence behind the face shield. If she feel claustrophobic in a full face try a modular... Where in Ontario are you?
  4. Yup! I can almost guarantee you that if they would have been around in 2009 I would be riding one of those instead! Stick around, you don't have to own a Venture to still be part of the family here!!
  5. WHY should you have the last word???
  6. Happy Easter!!!
  7. Oh, I see you met my EX wife...
  8. OK to answer your question about using a 30 amp fuse, if you have a direct short the 30 amp will also blow. AS far as hurting the compressor, the compressor will only draw what it draws, supplying the compressor with extra amp capability will NOT increase what it draws. Before you go 30 amp, how about trying a 25 amp? Now, the only possible potential damage will be to the battery itself. If you are using the stock lead acid battery it will eventually be weakened from hitting the horn. The drop you saw is about right, so you can imagine what continuous usage is doing something to the battery. I highly recommend using an AGM battery which can handle a stronger load with ease...
  9. Yes, he has truly risen!! We serve a LIVING God!!! And a blessed Easter to you as well!
  10. As DJ said, it is an auto range meter. Look again, there is no range selection on the function switch, just ohms...
  11. To just hook up a shraeder you screw it into the air line coming off the front forks. If you look at your plastic cover for the handle bar center you will see the hole where they mount it for the standard. Instead of rebuilding your MK1 forks, you may be better served getting a set of MK2 forks. That way you can put better 4 piston R1/R6 calipers. The anti dive is electric instead of hydraulic, and are activated via a relay triggered by the brake lights...
  12. Ditto!! Hey Peder, where are you finding them for $30 new?? Parts Shark?
  13. Your battery is most likely toast Thomas. A load test after fully charging should confirm this. One of the guys up there should have a load tester to confirm this. What make is the battery and how old is it? If you find you need a new one I strongly suggest a DEKA battery. Earl, Skydoc_17 sells these for a good price for what they are, a AGM battery that will outlast 2 of the lead acid type most likely (3 of the Wally World ones) and ave a whole lot more cranking power as well...
  14. Yup!! Don't forget to grease the new o rings with waterproof grease or water pump lubricant (same thing). Just a very thin coating...
  15. Well, from what I see he is reading 3,000,000 ohms (3.xxx M) The reading can't be right if the starter worked. Notice the term worked as in possibly past tense. For the life of me I can't see why it is reading what it is! Now, here is my suggestion. Replace that 2 brush starter with a 4 brush starter from a 2nd gen. They start sooo much better with a 4 brush. You can find a good used one on ebay for around $60...
  16. Uhhh, no I don't think so. By cranking you are doing a type of load test on the battery and I'm thinking that drop is excessive...
  17. Well, Canada IS a liberal leaning to the left country, so I guess Ground Hugger's post is politically correct...

    Why?

Why has this thread turned into a WHY thread???

  21. You've been listening to "The Leader Of The Pack" again, haven't you?!!?
  22. I see mine every day...
  23. For some reason I thought you had a 2nd gen, sorry! OK just keep watching ebay, 1st gen MK2 hitches periodically show up. Markland is the most common...
  24. Hmmm, very nice McGuiver'ing! Just may do that when I redo Goldie...
