I would rethink your plan for the first day. Lodging in Niagara Falls is not cheap! I would stay overnight in the Buffalo suburbs like near the airport then see the falls from both sides the next day. I'm not familiar with the route 150 you mention but if you are taking 219 up we could meet up in NY and I'll be glad to show you around the area...

Have your battery load tested after charging it up. Auto Zone does this for free and if you find it is bad, buy their premium AGM battery, good price, and it is in reality a Deka. I'm pretty sure Auto Zone also gives military discount... -
